Autocross

FYI, if you want some real fun in your SSR, there is a great autocross event at the Little Creek Amphib base, ACU, Gate 4 the 16th, Sunday. You need to google for the "Tidewater Sportscar Club" and pre-register at their site. You should do it quick, because they fill up fast. This place is some of the most pristine concrete you will ever find for autocross. Absolutely perfect. Hope to see some of you there. You will need to register to get on the access list for the base. Security there is very tight.

If I was only about 3000 miles closer - I'd be all over that. Tough choice on which ride though. The old vert or the new vert.

Go tear it up and post some pictures for us..

I can't torture my truck any more than I already do
I can only make one trip down to VB in this month so I plan on visiting for the car show (although again, I won't actually participate).

What a fun day Sunday was! Got 17 out of 42 in my class with a time on a very long course of 68.983. Best cars were in the mid to high fifties, but for my weight and class, this was a very respectful time. Actually, I hit not cones, and I improved my score each time. I actually beat my wife's mini for a change too! My neighbors Honda S2000 beat the heck out of me though. Saw several z06 corvettes with the 505 HP!!!

Talking

Hey cruzned ,

Did you gain a little bit of time by removing excess weight ( center caps ) ?

Center cap removal is required, as well as floor matts. That must have helped my time for sure! Especially the matts.
