Chevy Collection Tour II-Roanoke,Va

We have been invited to Ken Spangler's and Dick Sink's Chevrolet Collection Tour in Roanoke,Va on Saturday July 12 (was the 19th)

Meet 11:30-Noon at Sonic(4504 Challenger Ave Roanoke 24012) after you exit from I-81 Exit 150(approx 5 miles)
12:30 head to Ken's and Dick's for a 3-4 hr Tour of their Amazing Collection (approx 1 mile)
4:00-4:30 check in at Hotel if needed
4:30-5:00 head over to The HomePlace Restaurant(4968 Catawba Valley Dr 24070) in Catawba,Va for dinner
7:00-7:30 Cruise to the Car Show at Advance Auto Parts parking lot located at Crossroads Mall in Roanoke
8:30- Cruise Downtown Roanoke to Mill Mountain Star and then to Dunkin Donuts on Franklin Rd
Sunday meet at Shoney's in Salem(101 Wildwood Road 24153) at 8:30.Leave 9:30 Cruise Main Street Salem to Rt 419 right at intersection to Rt 221 right at intersection toward Floyd,Va to The Blue Ridge Parkway to Mabry Mill(milepost 176.1)Leave 12:30-1:00 to Rt 8 going toward Christiansburg to I-81 North.We will eat lunch either in Christiansburg or Troutville at Cracker Barrel.

Anyone thinking about going...just do it! Ken and Dick's collections are something to be seen. Pictures don't do them justice.

For anyone who did not make this trip the first time... we highly recommend it.

Debbi and I will be there and staying the night too.

Maybe we could also stop at where all the cars go now to show off their rides. I believe we said last year it was going to move.

Understand you might change the trip for this weekend - 7/12/08 instead of next weekend 7/19/08.

Debbi and I are available if you make the change.

The only thing that we're not sure of if we can stay Saturday night because we would have to change our reservation.

Once it's definite it's for this weekend we'll change our reservations, and hope we can get the same hotel again. If we can't, we'll just come home Saturday night instead of staying over.

I can't make it either! This coming weekend is our one saturday a month maintenance day. I've got 2 projects (well, of many really) that I need to get done.

Thanks for the Heads up Dave! YES! We'd love to be there! We'll have to scoot off Sunday Morning back to PA (we have a birthday thing to be at by 3pm) but I know I could use a weekend away.

Looks like the Quality Inn is the place to stay for an overnight... we'll make reservations!

Big Bummer!

We just had some changes come up last night and we're not going to be able to make this run after all! We were sooo looking forward to it too!!!!
