2009 SSR Raid on Harpers Ferry!

[An SSR's Wife]

Try for date July 11 th ( Saturday )

(9:00 am) Meet up at Starbucks Route 1 and Cherryhill Road.
4750 Cherry Hill Road College Park,Md 20740
(9:30 am) Depart
***(10:45) 2nd meet for others ...Jefferson County Visitors Center (Take Washington St.from 340 visitor center is on Washington Ct.)****
(11:00 am) Arrive in Bolivar/Harpersferry
Lunch at a cool restaurant ( The Anvil )
***They have plenty of parking***
(12:30 pm) Leave the Anvil..Cruise down through
Historic Harpersferry to The park and take a
shuttle back to Harpersferry. ( parking is $6 )
***Lots of room for the SSR's****
*Then if you would like, we can group off and tour
or shop or whatever you would like!!!!
(3:30 pm) Meet back up to the shuttle to go back to
our beautiful trucks.
*Then off for a cruise to Shepherdstown WV to a
lovely restaurant on the Potomac River.
( The Bavarian Inn ) Bavarian Inn Shepherstown WV
***After dinner the Quality Hotel is having a car show from 4:00-7:30 pm..maybe we can crash it!!!!

PLEASE PM ME WITH RSVP's The restaurant needs an idea of how many people will be coming.......

Dave, how much walking will be involved? Kathy had foot surgery and is just now starting to walk with a boot. She also uses a knee walker I affectionately call the Scootaaaaah as she is from New Hampshaaaaah!. Basically can we participate without a lot of walking, some is O.K.. Thanks! John

There is quit alot of walking. You have to walk from parking to shuttle and then back again. Also The town of Harpersferry, where we will be spending a few hours is a steep street with lots of old stones. So unless she wants to just sit while everyone else is adventuring..she might not have much fun. Sorry...but maybe you could give her a piggy back around!!!
