RockyTopEvents.com, the new home of the All Chevy/GMC Truck Nationals
Hello everyone,
Wasn't the 18th Annual All Chevy/GMC Truck Show a spectacular event? I hope everyone enjoyed the show as well as the town of Maggie Valley, NC. It was an exciting weekend with a lot of fantastic trucks!
First, we would like to say a big thank you to all the show participants! We appreciate each and everyone of you. With the high price of gasoline, I know you guys had to sacrifice just to be there; some of you traveled 100's of miles to be a part of the show!
We would like to give special thanks to the town of Maggie Valley, especially Vickie Best (Town Clerk), Lynn Collins (Chamber of Commerce), David King of Ghost Town in the Sky for the discount coupons, and Chief of Police Scott Sutton along with his officers for their cooperation with the Cruise-In (which I hope everyone enjoyed).
Special thanks to Brandon Burrell and Asa Mulinix for being on hand to provide media coverage for the weekend and for taking time to select trucks for Editor's Choice.
We also would like to say thank you to Smackers Sports Grill for providing the concessions for everyone (wasn't their earthquake cake awesome?). Thanks to our other sponsors as well: ChristiansClassics.com, Teaque Superette, and Microtel Innes-Suites - thanks to all the businesses that participated in the Poker Walk: Cabbage Rose, Jelly Bellies, Maggie Valley Skis & Tees, and a Maggie's Sportswear.
Thanks also must also go out to Danny and Gina Mitchell of the SSR Fanatics for their support and having the All Chevy/GMC Truck Nationals on their itinerary - thanks to all the SSR Fanatics' members who dropped by Saturday! We hope to see you guys again next year!
Now, appreciation goes out to my important workers at the show (I have to make them feel important so I can call on them again next year, LOL!). The staff: Joyce and Johnny, Malorie, Josh and Lindsey, Donald, Mitch, and a very special thanks to John "Outlet" Carroll for his help getting the registration trailer ready in only five weeks; we can't forget Mark back at the office, who handles our website along with keeping the event's paperwork organized!
We had some awesome door prizes this year from Summit Racing, LMC Trucks, Classic Performance, Jelly Bellies, Smackers Sports Grill, Painless Performance, and the Waynesville, NC Auto-Zone - thanks to you all for your great donations! Special thanks to Johnny & Sallie Miller, who I had the pleasure of meeting this year, for everything you donated; we hope to see you and your family again next year!
The 19th Annual All Chevy/GMC Truck Nationals is in the planning stages; the dates will be May 1st - 3rd, 2009. A "Children's Area" is an idea we're floating around for next year as well as working more with the local community on an arts and crafts fair. If any of you have ideas or suggestions for next year's show, drop us an e-mail. Any and all suggestions will be given thought and consideration.
In the meantime, we hope to see you at one of the surrounding shows throughout the rest of the year. If not, we'll see you at the 19th Annual All Chevy/GMC Truck Nationals in beautiful Maggie Valley, NC!
