Geocaching with joebids in North Carolina

Last 26 December, I agreed to combine a ride in the roadster with a geocaching run. Joebids and I started here in northeast Georgia and ended the run with an 'earth cache' at Nantahala. It was a beautiful, mostly sunny day. (Heck, it was like summer compared to the weather we've had lately! ) He took most of the photographs.

Here is a photograph he took of me driving, carefully driving, my R across a narrow bridge. Scary!

My R sitting at a very informal roadside stop over a river north of Franklin.

Nice Pics. There is nothing like Mountains and a River running through them.

Yes, this is the route that I usually take when I come home from the Rally in the Valley since it is such a beautiful drive!

TMI, and gross, but if Joe posts the picture of me and the pig head then you need to know: There was a dead pig, well, the remains of a dead pig, hmmmm, ok, mostly the skin and head of a dead pig, at the roadside stop overlooking the river. Some smart azz had propped that pig head up on a stick at the guardrail, like it was looking up towards the road. It stunk!

Yep, I finally saw the SSR I was looking for in late December and it had this chick at the controls.

There was a beautiful red "painted sky" sunset that evening. We stopped so Joe could take a photo - while getting the camera from the cargo area, he noticed the reflection in the cargo cover. Yes, the bottom portion of this photograph is a reflection in the cover...not a body of water.

I was told that the only good pig is a dead pig. And someone seems pleased about this.

Vicki, in the South, you need to be More specific about just Which State Franklin is in, the picture. All states have more than 2 "Franklin"s in them out there, don'tcha know.... He musta been one prolific SOB !
