Should be able to make the 12:30 show time at Discover Mills on thursday. Don't know whether I'll stay with the kids or just shoot up Thursday morning...early. Was never a fan of early.

P/P

Peace

Ed, if I had your schedule, I wouldn't do anything early...

See you Thursday.

where to meet me, amended

On I-985 North, between Exits 12 (Flowery Branch) and 16 (Oakwood), there is a small "tourist info center/ welcome center/ rest area." The entrance ramp is perhaps 100 feet north of Mile Marker 14. I can meet you there. It will not be necessary for everyone to drive through the parking lot, though - it will suffice for one R to ride through. (I am concerned that if I blink then I might miss everyone passing by on 985!!)

Yes, there is a Sonic, and it is at Exit 16, which is currently the site of a MASSIVE reconstruction/addition of the interchange. I call the area the obstacle course. We do not want to stop there. No Way.

Ah, having had a second look...that entrance ramp to the tourist info center is more like 250 feet or more past Mile Marker 14! And the giant Hall County banner was still on the fence this weekend- makes it easier to spot.

Actually, I am working Thursday morning. I will take only a few hours off from work, and I am just lucky that so many people have to drive past my "neighborhood" on the way to MV.

Sounds like Ya'll are having a Good Trip. Anytime you can "blow" through Atlanta with all its construction mess, you are doing good.

Yeah, we were pretty amaized... we left Foley, Alabama right after lunch. Traffic was unusually light for some reason.

Vicki, Is your Mum still packing your bags and pushing you out the door?

Be sure to have you cell phone "charged and on" Thursday about 12:30.

I'll call you when we leave Discover Mills and when we get close to that tourist info center.

We WILL take you with us.

Yeah. I have stopped by their house (it's around the corner and four lots down the street, literally, from my house) every afternoon this week. When I stopped by today, she could recite the weather forecast for Maggie Valley. She wanted to make sure that I took something warm to wear.

I hope my experience this evening is NOT a prediction of things to come this weekend --- I knocked the plastic trim off the front of my hood! In the event that I still have mischief in my future, then I apologize in advance to whatever harm I cause to others' property over the next few days.

I will be waiting for that call.

What the hey...that posted twice??

Oh, and I will be...don't faint... driving up to MV top UP. I have been sick for the past two weeks, from allergies, and I have one heck of a cough. I don't want to overdo it my first day on the road!
