I am still new to the forum and the "R", purchased mine in Oct last year. Are there any upcoming SSR meets or events scheduled around the Atlanta area in the next couple of months? Anxious to meet some other fanatics, thanks for any info!
I am not aware of anything being scheduled for this month. Our weather can be unpredictable and unpleasant this time of year, anyway. Just keep watching this section of the forum.

We do have a Great Group of Fanatics here in Georgia. Glad to welcome you both and look forward having you join us.
Many of us will be going to Maggie Valley the first weekend in May. Over 100 SSR's there last year. We were well represented at the Florida Panhandle last year. My wife and I went last year and had a Great Time. The date change for this year didn't work well for us. We also had a good Georgia group in Daytona, FL for the first Daytona Dream Cruise last October.
There's several SSR fanatics in and around Marietta (but you better watch them ) We have 2 grandkids in McDonough. Year before last we had a SSR gathering at Summit off I-75
We get together just about every month in a different part of the state to Eat, Talk and Show------off. We're taking off a while for the holidays and weather but will kick things off in a couple months. Send any one of us a pm and we'll be sure you are informed when we do something.

Georgia SSR Meets?
Welcome aboard and yes we do get together on occasion. The Maggie Valley Run is fun and there is an international run in Texas this summer in June. I hope to attend both events this year even being UNemployed and all. LOL

OK guys.....I'm the Panhandle Rally guy who is opening up opportunities for an invite the end of February to be your 1st event. There is a sticky in the Florida events log about the Rally. We have a guy coming from Kennasaw....you might caravan with him as he was here last year.

Good to meet John and Suzanne. They will be a great addition to the ATL Fanatics! (Even though they are NJ Yankees!)
Phil and I and the Adivari's took a little cruise to Alatoona lake. We all took some winter lake pics, then split up.
Phil told all about his plans to go to the Panhandle Rally, I will be at Daytona Bike week. John and Suzanne are going to consider this, as well as Maggie Vally.
So, any feedback on what month we should start our meet and greet's? March / April? May 1st is Maggie.
Anyone one to take the lead for the 2009 LAUNCH!
I will again be asking for site "sponsors" for each month, so we can keep this going. We had some great sites last year, and good turnouts. Also, Bib Daddy et-al, how about a list of car shows too. We could consider working more of these in, even if they fall outside of the 3rd Saturday time frame.
My job here is to keep this going, so how about it, ATL Fanatics!

Here's te scoop on the Panhandle Rally the last w/e of February........
We will have the itinerary for Saturday complete by the weekend....have to lay out the roads and distances for time purposes.
