Jacksonville Drive-in

Anybody in the Jacksonville area want to get toghether for a SSR meet? I have seen several SSR's in the area. Mostly slinshots like mine! Maybe a meet at the Sonic's Drive-in on Southside Blvd. They even have rootbeer floats!

I just got mine and I am in serious retro drive-in mode!!! I am thinking Sunday April 16th at 2:00? Or anytime! I am very flexible to other ideas.

OK ......so me and my sweety need to share the SSR experience!

I know of several other SSR owners here in Jax that would like to get together and form a club. I don't think many of us would be available on the 16th since it is Easter Sunday and we have Church/family commitments.
I live and work in southside. Where are you at? Maybe we could get together during the week for some planning. One of the other guys owns Fact O Bake and I'm sure we could meet at his office on Beach Blvd.

If you plan something for a weekend hubby's not working we will make the drive up there. We always like an excuse for a road trip!

Hi Jerry,

I knew there was something wrong with that date. I had Saturday the 16th down and noticed the 16th was Sunday and changed the day instead of the date. Duh.

I live pretty close to you on Big Pottsburg Creek. I would definately be interested.

Would be great to come up and meet, but it would have to be anytime after that weekend. Peaches is up that way also ownes a Stone Cold ice cream place.

Let me do some checking around. I own the Burger King at Tinseltown so we can also meet there. The next couple of weekends are tough for me ( Easter & my daughter has a soccer tournament in Georgia the 21-23. We could set something up for the 29th or get together during the week.
I previously owned several Camaro's and helped form River City F Bodies. That club does the North Florida Car Council Cruise in every Saturday and has their own Wednesday night cruise in. We might start out by going to the Sat event and park together. Here's the schedule:
1st Saturday: The Jacksonville Landing downtown
2cnd Sat: Fruit Cove-shopping center at the corner of Race Track Road & San jose Blvd ( SR 13 ) south of Mandarin
3rd Sat: Duval Station- northside, Main Street to Duval station Rd
4th Sat: Penman Plaza, Neptune Beach at the corner of Atlantic Blvd & Penman Rd

Hey! Welcome! The second Saturday will be a fun meeting time. Maybe we can also meet up in St Augustine. There are quite a few of us a little further down south that will come up to St Augustine. (We met at Jack Wilson's Chevy for a run for Biketoberfest & again for the St Augustine Christmas Parade. Jack Wilson is always willing to put up with us.)

A nice start!
Four of us got together and exchanged info. We are definitely going to try and from a club up here in north Florida/south Georgia. Keep watching this site for more info.
