Correct on the April dates.

April 5 - April 6 (April 4 evening for dinner if anyone arrives early)

April 5 we will do the tours, we don't have the schedule down yet, but working on those with the brochures. Trying to be able to see as many as time allows.

April 6 we are planning on going to Keenland Racetrack. (this is opening weekend for the horse races).

Information will be mailed to those who have sent addresses soon.

Hope many can join.

In my years of owning a Prowler I took groups to distilleries three different times - from 40 -108 cars. I'd suggest you put Maker's Mark and Buffalo Trace on your short list of possible tours. Be sure to check with them concerning production (it's more entertaining if you see it in action and they may not be operating on some weekend days) Both were very gracious hosts. While your in Frankfort for Buffalo Trace be sure to take the group for a cruise around the state capital grounds.. It would be a pretty cool site to see te Capital surrounded by SSR's!

If we weren't moving to San Antonio April 1st we'd not only join you but offer to help with the planning. Have a great time.

Update - Ky Bourbon Run

We went out yesterday to 4 of the running distillaries getting timing between each and talked to the nicest person at Wild Turkey gift shop. Gathering information to come up with the complete plans. Trying to get in as much as possible. Looks like we will be able to tour 3 of the 7, visit gifts shops at a few and pass by some of the older closed down ones. More information to come. The definate date is Saturday April 5 for this.

Looks good. We've never been on a run before and are looking forward to this! Maybe we could hook up with some of the Michigan bunch if they come down Interstate 69.

I have the Bourbon Trail flyers ready to mail. If you haven't sent your address and want the information, please do so. Sorry for the delay, but it has been rather crazy around here with weather, etc... And we really want this to be a nice cruise.

I hav been looking forward to this cruise since the first post appeared, however, good fortune is going to get in the way. I have been awarded a trip to St. Thomas by my company, based on our teams 2007 performance, and it is the same weekend. So while IJo Ann & I will l have a blast, I will miss this event. Ya'll have a big time and sip a Makers Mark for me!

I assume everyone has received the information that I mailed out. To work group rates with the hotels, I need to have a count of who is going to need a room. If you could please send me or KYSSR a PM or email, we could get a total and check rates. We will post some information on some of the hotels if we aren't able to get the information for group rates.

We had a pretty day yesterday, so we got the SSR out and ran the route, it is going to be a pretty drive. KySSR got some early samples of the Bourbon - just to make sure it will be ok...

I have been able to get a block of 15 rooms at the Best Western, which is one of the nicer hotels here (Best Western International Hotels - HOME Frankfort, KY if you want to see pictures). The group rate is 67.99 as long as we have 8 - 15 rooms booked. Currently I have received requests from 8 people for hotels so this should be ok. (The regular rate at this hotel is $89 and up)

The hotel is right off of the interstate and has plenty of parking, in addition, we have requested first floor because the parking is right outside of the room. They have a deluxe continental breakfast and a heated pool.

When you call ask for SSR Fanatics block of rooms. (502) 695-6111 - if you need a hotel, you need to call and reserve - the rooms are only being held until March 15.

Let us know once you are booked so we can keep count if I need to get additional rooms.

Saturday morning, we will be meeting around 8:0 am in the parking lot of the Best Western

Any questions, let us know. Looking forward to a great time!

Were coming too!

We just booked our room. Karen and I can't wait to see our old and new SSR friends. Maybe some robins too, Marty!
