We look forward to your run every year - and we actually like not being scheduled to death since we're (I'm) late for everything and it stresses us (Lonnie) out! It's just so beautiful there, you can kick back and relax and have a great time.

Don't feel bad I'm going to have to miss it also. If I'm not mistaken your son was the youngest FANATIC there, right?
Glad to see so many California Fanatics being able to make it. You're going to absolutely love it. Gina & Danny are the perfect hosts. The first thing you're going to be absolutely astonished with, coming from the semi-arid environment of So Cal, is how green every thing is (kinda like the way the mountains of Angeles Forest look for about a week after a heavy rain) .
The youngest FANATIC.
SSRs at the truck show.
The rest just beautiful North Carolina. We are so blessed with such a fabulous country. Let's not ever let it go.

Just received this PM from the MINI forum.
Looks like it will be even more crowded and festive this year.
Really wish we could come.
MINIs on the Dragon 2008
As you are probably aware this year's MINIs on the Dragon is April 30 through May 4, 2008. The good news is that there are more than 20 different activities during the event...from an autocross to MINI Monte Carlo Night and more. The bad news is that registration is WAY down compared to previous years and the major events were designed to handle large numbers of people. Since we are quickly approaching deadlines for rentals and financial commitments needed to support the event we need to see an immediate increase in registrations for the event. Unfortunately because of the cost involved in putting on many of the events if registrations don't increase will will have to scale back the events in some way.
With the above in mind I would ask that if you are already planning to attend MOTD but have not yet registered please do so now. If you have already registered THANK YOU! Please encourage your motoring friends to register as well!
Decisions have to be made next week so your registration for the event, dinners, first ever car show, MINI Monte Carlo Night, Brew Swap, and other activities will help shape this year's event. Given all the work that the coordinators have put in to make this the best MOTD to date I would hate to see it scaled back based on lack of attendee support.
To learn more about MINIs on the Dragon and registration please visit the following URL:
Alliance Magazine Cover Contest
In keeping with the MOTD theme we have launched a photo contest for the next cover of the NAM Alliance Magazine. If you have a great image from a previous MINIs on the Dragon event submit it and, if chosen, you'll not only get your image on the cover but you will also receive $50.00! For more information on the contest click here.
If you haven't checked out the Alliance member program or the current issue of the Alliance Magazine take a minute and give it a test drive.
Again, thanks for your support of NAM and of the 2008 MINIs on the Dragon. We hope that you'll join us for four days of motoring fun and camaraderie!

Hi everyone!
I just sent out a PM to everyone on the Maggie Valley list to make sure they are seeing the different threads that pertain to the show.
However, their are people on the list that are not fanatics that were told about the rally by other fanatics.
Please make sure that those of you that asked me to add them to the list are responsible for getting this info out to them. Please make sure they pre-pay for the dinner or they wont be allowed to join in at the last minute. Please get them signed up for the group ride of their choice also.

This little Mom & Pop hotel is directly across the street from me. I talked to the owner the other day and he had rooms available.
