OK Gina I'm in for a repeat performance - Maybe this year WOW factor and I can beat Nosepicker at the ticket game. I know I can't take Gene on by myself he is much wiser and experienced at the ticket selling game.

Put me down !

I really hate to do this but I am going to have to cut this rally off at 120. The facilities for the banquet are maxed out.

I hope everyone understands why I have made this decision and I hope there are no hard feelings to anyone that might have been waiting until the last minute.

Dont Forget To Sign Up For One Of The Following Group Rides If Your Participating In One On Friday

Dragon's Tail Run Sign up!

Mt. Pisgah Ride Sign Up/Maggie Valley Rally 2008

This run will need to be pre-registered so I can give the restaurant some numbers.

The Chimney Rock Run is full. The restaurant seating is limited and it is maxed out for the total number of seats they allowed us.

There are only a total of 94 signed up for the three rides.

Dont sign up on this thread, sign up on the thread pertaining to the run.

I dont think mass confusion is going to be avoided this year but to answer your question, YES. I will post that on the info sheets that will be passed out at MV and at the info stations.

Jeff Cody (GM truck show Promoter) came over from TN yesterday to do some business and stopped by to see me. He gave me more info on the cruise-in on Friday evening. Below is a a quote I added to post # 1 of this thread

Quote:
Friday Evening Cruise-In The GM Truck show is having a cruise-in at the festival grounds Friday evening at 6:00 PM. Jeff Cody (the promoter) OK'd the SSR fanatics to participate. This would be cool cruising along with the older GM trucks. There will be a group cruise through Maggie Valley with food available for purchase afterward. For those that plan to participate, l encourage you to be there by 5:45.
You do not have to sign up ahead of time to participate therefore I am not organizing a caravan up to the cruise-in because the parking lots of the hotels we are in are full. We wouldnt be able to line-up.
Friday eveing is free so I encourage all that want to participate to meet up at the Festival grounds between 5:30 and 5:45 to do so. After cruising all day Friday, I am going to decide when I get back.

Also, I'm posting a copy of a flyer he left.

Gina, please turn the pool heater on so when we go topless we won't freeze to death.

Anything over 72 hours in advance is a weather guess, not a forecast.

Leaving for Maggie Tuesday

We are leaving for the Valley tomorrow morning, stopping in Pigeon Forge for awhile and arriving in the evening. We have tickets to go to the Biltmore Estate and plan for all day Wed for that and then cruising the Maggie area and other sites until the meet and greet. Oh yea...Thursday morning having new hood struts installed. Can't wait for the trip, been looking forward to this for a WHOLE year.

We'll be waiting for ya'll......

SO True! The only accurate forcast is when they stick their heads out the window and tell what is going on at that moment!

Sounds like a good plan.

Sounds like another good plan. Are you hitting the outlet malls in PF? I go about twice a year to shop there. Wednesday is supposed to be cooler so wear long sleeves. The Biltmore has a special place in my heart. Its how we wound up in MV.

I agree. I have had a few PM's about the weather (and to those who sent them to me, forgive my rudeness). I chose to ignore them, just like I did the weather forecast. My theory is to ignore any bad forecast this year and maybe it will go away.
