Please check post # 1 of this thread. I have done some updating to the agenda.

Also I have updated the attendance roster. Let me know if your not on it and your attending.

Please notice where I had to cancel the pizza part of the meet & greet on Thursday and also the beginning time.

With so many attendees this year there is just no way that the pavillion area can handle this many people at one time for a sit down pizza dinner.

I met with the food & beverage team at the Maggie Valley Inn today. I will be posting the menu, the price and where to send your $$$ very soon.
It is going to be a buffet with 3 meats, salads, vegetables, potatoes, bread and dessert.

Gina with this many Rs attending, you might want to start a list for which cruise each Fanatic wants to go on. Also might need a bigger place for the meet and greet.

Ain't many big places in Maggie!
This thing has gone from Gina & me planning to have a few SSR's get together to run the Dragons Tail a couple of year ago to over 100 SSr's, Gina and the facitlities have been overwhelmed this year, let's not ask her to take on any more duties, she is busting her tail to make this work for US, lets ask what we can do to help out.
How about the leader of each cruise posting a sign up thread? I think WowFactor is leading the Dragon's Tail, who else is leading one?

I agree that it has gotten overwhelming this year with over 100 Rs planing on attending. All I was trying to do was come up with things that might help make things go better. A list for each cruise, I beleive is needed, as it would not be good if 90 Fanatics wanted to go on one cruise. Which cruise gets the most Fanatics might have to be split into two or three groups, so we may need more than one leader per cruise.

This is our first year coming to Maggie Valley..... i wish we could go on all 3 cruises!!!! But since we can't, would someone who knows all 3 recommend one that they think a new comer shouldnt miss?

Then i will have to do the other ones some other time.
Thanks!

The dragon's tail is a blast if you like a challenging run. lots of twisties, 320 turns in 11 miles. the others are very scenic and also have lots of turns, thee Mt.pisgah lunch run is very cool.

Yes, I have thought of this, just got home and havent done it yet. The past two days have been crazy, getting my place ready to open and dealing with 2 upcoming motorcycle rallies also. The list is a good idea that I a plan on doing, problem is some of the attendees dont get on here much and wont ever see the thread anyway.

As far as venues, the overflow hotel is the only banquet room in MV so that is our choice. The owner over there is putting tables on the dance floor and the bar area to accomodate us. It will still be very tight. Maggie Valley is no Laughlin!

The meet and greet opens at 5 and the pavillion is open until 10 so I hope that attendance is staggered.

I am leading one and Danny the other. No volunteer yet for the dragon tail.

Cant get anyone to volunteer to lead the tail so I am doing the best I can and hoping to get a leader.

The tail is the touristy one that you have to do to say that you have done it!!!! Going on Friday instead of Saturday this year will help cut down on the traffic over there.

1) I was waiting to see if I wanted to go on one of the other runs
2) I am NOT familiar with the area...dozens could be 2 hours late instead of just me
3) I've always been a follower not a leader
4) I'm also a whiner, in case you haven't noticed
5) I am not sure if I will have a passenger with me and whether that passenger would want to go on the Tail.

I can make up some more excuses if necessary

No more excuses needed! If I dont get a leader, the tail riders will get a map and go on their own or in small groups. Problem solved.
