The Valley Inn (across the street from me). This is closest to me, directly across the street. A lot of folks like it here, its on the creek and very easy to walk over to Laurel Park Inn for meet and greet on Thursday and anytime to hang out.

Maggie Valley Inn and Conference Center. This is where we have the Saturday night group dinner and the Friday afternoon night swap meet. They really help me out over there during the entire rally putting the dinner and swap meet together. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS MOTEL ONLINE OR YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY MORE, THEY HAVE TO PAY COMISSION TO THE BOOKING COMPAINES. IF YOU HAVE BOOKED ONLINE YOU CAN CANCEL ONLINE AND CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY AND BOOK AT THE SSR RATE

Thursday- 5 PM Meet and greet Pizza/Margarita party. Soda and water will be furnished. BYB on beer or other drinks (No charge for pizza but if you partake in the margaritas there will be a donation can for that) If you would like to bring an appetizer or dessert that would be great.
Fri- 11 AM Nursing Home Parade. We donate items every year for the residents of the nursing home also. It is your choice if you want to donate or not. Please bring donated items to Crafty Beths house on Wednesday if you are going to that and she will collect them. otherwise bring them to the Meet and Greet on Thursday
Suggested items (per the director) are as follows but you are not restricted to only these items.

star light mints (the hard candy red and white mints)
word search puzzle books
Enquirer and Womans World magazines
self sharpening pencils
paperback books
ponytail holders
combs
socks
afghans/blankets
The parade will be followed by a catered tailgate picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Waterrock Knob
BRING A CHAIR TO SIT IN. THIS IS A TAILGATE PICNIC LIKE LAST YEAR The picnic lunch is $10. It consists of:
2 pieces of fried chicken
biscuit butter and jelly
cole slaw
cookie
bottle of water
4 PM Swap Meet
A cruise to Hot Springs led by 06 Blue SSR

A second shorter cruise is being offered to Cherokee. I am going to lead a short cruise over to Cherokee via the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a shorter cruise than the Hot Springs cruise so it is an option for those of you that don't want to drive to hot springs. Also keep in mind the Biltmore House in Asheville if you wish to visit it. We will go to the visitors center https://www.greatsmokies.com/gsmnp/oconaluftee.html and then from there you will be given the option to explore Cherokee Oconaluftee Indian Village | Cherokee, NC or to drive on up to the Newfound Gap/Clingmans Dome area for some outstanding views of the Smokies If you wish to attend this cruise we will depart from the Ghost Town parking lot at 10:30 AM.
Its your choice which one you want to do but please sign up for the cruise to hot Springs if you intend to go.
