Maggie Valley & Smokey Mtn RR
Update on the Smokey Mtn RR trip for Friday, May 20, 2011. I have an Open Air car "the Whitter" reserved for us as SSRFanatics on a first come first served basis. They added this the 2nd open air car for us just now. (Long Story to be told under the HUT ) You Need To Make Your Advance Reservations ASAP, informing them you are with the SSRFanatics Group and you want to be seated on "the Whitter". Total is $50.96 per person which includes tax and 4% Historic Preservation Fee. We will pick up our tickets that morning when we arrive. {If you have already made your reservations, please call 1-800-872-4681 and have them change your reservation to "the Whitter" if not you will be on the other open air car.} If you do not make advanced reservations, you might not get to sit with us, also if all seats fill up, you will miss our train ride. I am the first to book Kim & I a seat on "the Whitter". It has 55 total seats w/ 53 remaining. Note: There are 35 seats remaining on the other open air car (not the Whitter) which they will fill first before allowing the general public to be seated on our car. I tried but could not get the $5.00 per vehicle waved, but if all holds together we will be allowed to park as a group in their overflow lot.
Again, please make your advanced reservations ASAP for "the Whitter" !!!
Also, if you have already made your reservations before this morning, call Smokey Mtn and ask to be changed to "the Whitter".
Hope this helps for a Great Fun Time together during our SSRFanatics in Maggie Valley 2011, little train ride.

Meg, we will depart the MV area at 9:00 am SHARP. Eveyone needs to be sure to have had a fresh potty break, and enough gas (in the R ) for the trip.
We will meet about 10 minutes before 9:00 so I can pass out a little direction map with a couple of our cell numbers on it.
Gina will have the final say where we depart. I suggested a place where we could grab a biscutt, but she knows her town and is taking into consideration how many R's we have. Gina will pick the perfect place and let us know. She is recovering from a MotorCycle Weekend and getting ready for us... Gina will let us know. One Busy Lady ! :
Again, so everyone knows, we Will Depart at 9:00 am SHARP!
