We would leave by 1:00 Pm on Thursday 5/19. For David (SSRHEARTBEAT) that's 12 noon, since I know he will be late!
We usually have 6-10 each year, which is manageable in the cruise.
So if there is interest, sign up and I will be checking,
Bud
Bud, I have to come all the way from Alabama !

David, the first couple years, I led. One year we had 29 R's. Now let me tell you what! We had a perfect smooth ride all the way into down town Maggie Valley. We all arrived together. In 2009, I got stopped cause I had a 20 year old tag on the R off our 39 Chevy. Long Story... Last year 2010, Kim was late getting out of a meeting, and I fully and completely support my working wife! Last year when Bud and his followers pulled out of their meeting place, I was 20 miles behind them, but passed them within their first 30 miles. One here, two there, one more here, three there, and then Bud with not another R in site...
I wasn't driving that fast. I don't know what Bud had them doing ...

SOOO, It looks like David has stepped up to lead! Since I did such a MISERABLE job (didn't want it in the first place, like hurding cats) it would be fitting and proper that the guy with the badge do it again!
So, I will be last in line, cleaning up behind the elephants. Seems my lot in life!
And, we will plan to be leaving late, RIGHT DAVID?

Sorry if anyone though I was 100% serious or accurate. I'm usually Not...
I put my "a little factually off" spin on your Convoy last year.
Bud, in all fairness you started this thread and it's your baby to get all the little SSR Trucks safely into Maggie Valley. You Can Do It !
I WILL BE IN THE BACK. Maybe Way Back...

Very true David, I'm sure we have all been called worse. I'm sure we all are fine with following either of you. Hang in there Bud, we thought you did a fine job.
As long as I don't have to lead, we are good!!
Linda is enjoying this very much, she keeps asking what did he say next.

David has a badge! No matter what I do, I can't trump that! Unless I borrow Jan's and risk arest, but maybe with David in the rear he can fend off the law! We need to think about this...:-)

So... meet at Noon, leave at 1pm.
Bud, mine was two parts:
1st: I've got the groups rear to Maggie Valley.
2nd: You've got the groups rear on the rail road trip !!!
If Pete leads we need to be sure our gas tanks are full 'cause we will drive a few extra miles swerving from lane to lane......All Petes swerving will add up.
One more thing, meet Noon-ish, leave 1pm-ish..................................
I've got to come all the way from Alabama.

Pete leads
Yo Bud
Have you lost your mind? I want to get there for the meet and greet. My reputation as lead "R" is not good. What I do best is stay in the middle and bitch a lot.

Ed,
Lake Tahoe is a GREAT place, we even got married on the lake when we lived out that way. The area has some of the best roads I have ever seen for bike and sports cars so take out the rental, if you have one, and have some fun.
Be safe on the trip, hopefully we'll meet up again soon.
