Please respond to this thread if you wish to have NEW SSR HOOD and DECK LID SUPPORTS "INSTALLED" on your truck at this event. Stephen Fenner (Support Tech) has supplied these Products for our trucks for the last 5 years. The choice of options available are as listed below:
2003-2004 Hood Support Kit-Black: $185.00

Let me tell you from experience, the hood struts are the best investment you can make if you own a 2003-2004 SSR. Another plus is you are getting them professionly installed!

Installation on all models of SSR's is part of your purchase with these prducts. I have had several inquires asking when will I do this for them? When you spot me in the Hotel area, just ask me and I will do it for you. During the day, at the Swap Meet, in the evenings is all the same to me. If there are any of you that are still deciding to purchase, the cut off day is the 11th of May, in order to be sure to have your requirements on hand at this event . Stephen, I want the black hood struts for my 2004 SSR. I will only be in MV the night of Thursday, May 19. However, we will be arriving early in the day and leaving late on Friday. We are not going on any of the planned trips. Just coming to meet everyone and see all the SSRs.
I may also want the rear deck struts. I had mine replaced by Chevy under warranty but I'm not sure if they put in the new hinges. Could I take a photo and e-mail to you??

That would be in May 2008 when I installed the Polished Stainless on your Truck. At that time we chose an optimum force that has been correct for 97% of the trucks we have installed them on. Some Trucks (and mine is one of the worst culprits) have a very tight body seal on the Deck Lid, which in turn requires a little more pressure in the struts to open the Deck Lid in the manner which is intended. No Problem, I will bring a new set and change them out for $0.00. (ZERO).

Let me know how many Trucks that you can muster up to help make this Proposed Strut Install Party a Reality. We do come to Florida from time to time, and this would give us another excuse to make the effort. We have been to several SSR Events over time, Missouri, Maggie Valley. Texas, Colorado, Durango, plus this year Flagstaff, so anything is possible.
