My 05' Slingshot Yellow SSR is Beached on the West coast of Florida in the Tampa Bay Area. Seems the Stereo is only capable of playing Jimmy Buffet and Kenny Chesney. I am just wondering if I could get a show of top drops for those interested in some type of West & Central Florida Beach Bum Blanket Bash or maybe a Sunshine Summer Rondevous. Just wondering best how to get an idea of how popular something like this would be...
Obviously, all SSR owners, family, friends and fans would be welcome, need 12 volleyballers, so the more attending the better. Also, figured that maybe a small SSR show would be fun... We could take over an entire beach parking lot, lol.

Florida’s not too bad in the summer, could be a little warm, but not bad. By the way, I have been able to verify that the outside temperature will display triple digits.

Me also a parrothead - I'm three hours due east of you on the other coast (Cocoa Beach area) I'm a beach potato and can keep score and I'm good at keeping ice in the coolers. Count me in. Florida has a great tropical breeze this time of year, I went to Las Vegas in August once and thought I was in a sauna!

West Coast (Florida) Beach Bash? I'm in. Just throwing an idea out. How about meeting at John's Pass on Madeira Beach http://www.johnspass.com/ . Don't know much detail, but there was a car show at Gators on Sunday mornings which could be fun. Choice of two beaches for Volley Ball and the shopping on the Boardwalk which has something for everyone. You can even rent out PWCs etc if you really want to get out on the water.
I found out a little more about the car show on Madeira Beach. The next one is August 13. It is held in the parking lot of Gators http://www.gatorscafe.com
If there is interest, I will contact them to get more specifics.

Get Together This Winter
Not to take away from what you are planning for summer, but we ought to plan a get together this winter when several of us will be snowbirding in Florida. I know Gina is in the PC area and we are near Leesburg. I'm sure there are more that I don't know about and there are lots of you already there so we should be able to come up with something.

OK for all of you that responded to the poll, I am going to talk to the folks at Gators this weekend to see if we can get an SSR corner at the car show. Right now, it looked like 11 people might have interest. This was for the car show there on Sunday 13th August.
Adjacent to this is the boardwalk at John's pass on Madeira Beach, which is a great place to stroll. Across the street is a really nice beach.
I'll post more information in the next day or so, but hold the date ... there will be a West Coast meeting on thew 13th!!!
