Question NC, SC, & GA SSRs?

Hello all. I'm fairly new to this forum but was wondering if there are any SSR "Chapters/Clubs" out there in NC, SC or GA. I have relatives in all of those states and live in NC myself. I frequently visit those states on weekends. I didn't really see anything (or couldn't find it anyway) in the forums about specific "clubs".

Gina, I have seen you post alot of info regarding Maggie Valley. Do you guys run alot of activities or get togethers out there? I have an aunt that lives in Asheville and I've been to the Maggie Valley area quite a few times before (although that was before I got my SSR).

Anyway, again just reply if any of you know of any in those states. Or if there are any fellow SSR owners in the vicinity of SC: Camden, Aiken, Columbia; NC: Fayetteville, Asheville; GA: Augusta

Thanks guys.

Adam

You are in the right forum to find out about events in your area.
Basically speaking we don't have "clubs" here.
Usually someone posts an event and others "show up".

You might search "HOTLANTA" for the Georgia group of SSR's meeting last weekend.

or start you own group....

Welcome Adam.

Yes I live here in Maggie and host a rally every year the first weekend in May.

I own a small Mom & Pop motel here so if your ever in the area stop by and say hello.

Laurel Park Inn

Check out the southeast section for events near you.

We are just starting to get a 3rd Saturday meet and greet together. Last Saturday was the first, here in Kennesaw (ATL NW Burb) at Hooters. We had 8 for the first wing and brew fest!
But I am encouraging the others here in the ATL metro to "host" a spot for the future months. I can see us radiating as much as 100 miles from the metro center, but not as far as Augusta.

Watch the Atlanta Metro Rolling dinner threads for July 19 location, as well as others as the months go by.

for July 19th, we could meet at the Tanger Outlet on I-75 near McDonough, then cruise back roads to Fresh Air Bar B Q near Jackson, about 30 minutes. Great food and they still have sawdust on the floors.
What do you guys think?

Hotlanta

Guys, thanks for the info on Atlanta. That is quite a stretch for me since I actually live in NC. I'll probably have to save that trip for when there is a LARGE event going on. Thanks again all for the info.

For those of you out in the Greenville/Spartanburg area I'll let you know if I end up in that area and if you guys have events planned just post them and I'll see what I can do to make it your way.

This works for me, you might want to start a new post and begin taking names. Don't forget, after we do BBQ there is a HUGE meeting at the Tanger Outlet that same night.

Hum! We may can make that work-its a long way from our neck of the woods, but I think we should move the get togethers to different parts of the city so everyone can participate. I think our son will be in the Amazon that weekend, so maybe we can camp out at his place in downtown Atlanta.

Lee, after living in New York city all your life everything is small to you. If you guys want to start a club in S.C. let's make it in Duncan S.C. then I won't have to put the miles on my truck.
