Need a tune on your SSR? Group Purchase.
Jeremy Formato is a well respected GM tuner in the Central Florida market He has offered to discount his tuning services for our SSRs if we can get together a group of 5 SSRs. This group buy enables Jeremy to justify purchasing the expensive software to tune the SSRs and it will give us a discount on his quality services.
If you have been waiting to get gears for your 2004-2006 SSR now is your chance.
If you have been waiting to put headers and dual exhaust on your 2004-2006.
If you have been wanting a tune on your 2004-2006.
Jeremy will put a safe, powerful tune in your SSR and program for your mods.
Jeremy is willing to discount his tuning services to $300.00 ($75.00 reduction).
This deal requires a $200.00 upfront deposit.
I have secured the dyno at Ramsey's Performance in Tampa, Fl for a discounted $80.00 and if you need parts installed (gears, headers, ect) they can do that as well.
Jeremy's number is 813-495-8778 if you have any tuning questions. Please post if you are interested.
p.s. I'm not associated with Jeremy or Ramsey's. Just trying to get us a good deal on a quality service.

I have a question...I am coming to central Fl in July..Is this something that I can have done in a day while there???. Is is risky to change this much and then having to rely on getting home with no testing prior to having to return to TN??

What mods are you having done? The tune itself won't take much more than an hour. If you plan this out in advance with Ramsey's and Jeremy you will be okay.
I am having gears, headers, exhaust and a torque converter done and I am planning three days but due to the mods not the tune.

Most likely at that time I will have done the 4:56 gear and exhaust mod. Maybe air intake system and really just need to the the timing and a/f dialed in . I realize the work itself will not be long but I am more concerned about the trip back to Tennessee without some test time before I hit the open road!!!
What do ya think??? Is that risky???

We're in..
Lonnie spoke to Jeremy at length last night, and he is able to do what we need with the one-off intake we are having built (actually I think he is going to improve on it! ).
Where or how do we pay the deposit?
Thanks!

ssr tuning
I'm in Atlanta and have a 2005 with the 6 speed trans. Mine has been lowered, headers, true dual pipes, SS valves and a performance cam. I also have purchased the LS2 software from carputing Inc but I'm having a problem getting it tuned correctly. I'm running too rich at idle, If Jeremy really knows LS2 engines I would consider bringing it to him.

Matt bought the software, ask him. He bought at the level where it does two 2005 SSRs. it is expensive to have the unlimited credits. I haven'y talked with jeremy lately, is he buying the software?
Superchips Custom Tuning said that they are still two months away from a handheld tuner for the 2005.

Haven't talked to Jeremy. Spoke to Retrotek, who is building the intake and wanted to get with Jeremy about setting up the tune on all the ones they produce for the LS2 - he said he spoke to Jeremy once and hasn't heard back. We did speak to AntiVenom in Seffner, they tune mainly Corvettes but have a good reputation in the Corvette community - he wants $600+ to tune an LS2.
Who's Matt? Don't think I have met him yet...

Matjo lives in Tampa and he bought a copy of the LS2 Edit I believe it was around $650.00. I think the unlimited credits is around 1,500.00.
Has Lonnie had time to work on the running board brackets yet? Thanks, Tom

I think he told me the brackets were finished. He's in Plant City at the body shop working on the 2005 today - you can give him a call, they're probably in the purple truck.
Have you seen the LS2 Edit software - how user-friendly is it?

Lauren, I don't know much about the LS2 edit other than I heard that there are enough fields to change that you can really get yourself into trouble playing with it. Probably if you were going to go that way a tuner specialist would have to be hired to use your software. TP
