This Facebook page is dedicated to SSR owners of Georgia and surrounding areas. Other SSR owners and SSR admirers are also welcome.
I plan on posting local calendar events and shows, member pictures, and local cruise information. Make sure you "Like" the page and add it to your favorites. More upodates coming soon.
REBEL, I've been a FB user for some time and every now and then, a FB user says, hey .... I got an SSR too & my problem is blah blah blah, etc. Many of us SSRFanatic members will help and even direct that person to this wonderful site for further information.
Bottom line is nothing wrong with sharing information regardless of which forum is use.

In case you're wondering REBEL ... their are four SSR groups in FB that I know of.
1. SSR Fanatic
2. SSR Friends
3. Nor Cal SSR Club
4. SSR Fanatics - The Georgia Gang
Wouldn't surprise me if their other SSR groups in FB that I'm not aware of.

Why? The more people that move to facebook in smaller groupes will only weaken the power of this site.
Why be on a island when you have the whole family here? All you want to post there can be posted here.
Why? Facebook is more robust than the SSR Fanatic site. For example, the event calendar is great for scheduling events and getting a count of who will attend, a map of the location, and picture repository to share. This isn't a splinter cell, just a group with additional resources to connect.
ATLmike my only concern is we have a good group here, and a one stop place to go for good info.
My fear is if this new and other small areas on the net build up interest and pull peoples time and input away from here, the power of this site will diminish.
Think small mom and pops stores across the city, and this site being the Mall.
By all means you can do as you please. I have just tried to add things to make this place grow. Santa swap, Vin rgistry, model contest, puzzles, title this, how too's. I hate the thought of taking a chance of this site braking down. It feels like this site has been slowing down for a couple years allready with facebook.
Nothing against you just worry about this site.

While I support Mike in his effort to bring in all interested parties in the SSR family, I don't do "faceplant".
I see no need to tell everybody that I am at the dentist, or whatever. Maybe its just me, but its fine forr those who choose to share all of their intimate moments.
More info and interest in the SSR groups, can't hurt.
That said, Mike don't rely on the Georgia SSR family to respond ONLY via Faceoff. (or whatever its called).

glad to see you put the group on facebook, mike. there are already a lot of the ssr fanatics on FB. i dont see how it will hurt the ssr fanatic site . i go to both sites . no big deal, eh.
Agree with REBEL 100%. Not on Facebook, don't wanna' be on Facebook and not gonna' be on Facebook. Gonna' stay on SSRFanatic sight. As sheriff Buford T. Justice said "Shut up one **** at a time" Tennesseecozydog.

Bud you do have a way with words. I unlike you do use Faceoff For my high school friends and that is enought.
Thanks for the input guys. I created this page with those SSR owners in mind who do not wish to utilize the SSR forum also. I have 5 owners who are in my area that never use the SSR Forum. This Facebook serves as another avenue for communication.
Hey. New ATL SSR owner! 2005 aqua blue with 15k. Awaiting trailered arrival next week, which is going to make for loooong weekend! Any other guys/gals around the Peachtree Corners (Norcross) area!
Wife's a hero - a couple of weeks ago she said I could "get a truck." I confirmed that truck had to have a "truck bed". She took it very well when I selected my modern day hot rod! Stoked!
