North Georgia Sighting
We spotted a beautiful gleaming silver SSR as it drove through the parking lot of Ruby Tuesday's in Calhoun, Georgia Saturday evening around 6 PM.
The folks in the booth next to ours yelled, "Hey, there goes an SSR!"
I wanted to tell them that we owned a red SSR, but decided not to interrupt them.
I wish I had gotten to speak to the owner of the silver SSR, but they were leaving when we saw them. We were driving our HHR anyway.

Not to pick on anyone in particular, but this shows a situation which has been bothering me for a while. We have to stop appologizing for driving our other vehicles when we see an SSR and are not recognized. We need to speak to those drivers if we can and wave to them. When someone see me and asks about my and then says "I have one, too" I am thrilled that they came up to me. I do not care that they are driving their F-150 or their Honda, or whatever, I am happy to meet another SSR owner and I want to recruit them. I do the same if I am in my Envoy, my Yukon or a friends car. It is not something to be ashamed of or appologize for. Meet and recruit anyway. My nickle worth.

Oh, I definitely would have talked to him! I have started many conversations with SSR owners I have seen out at various places.
The problem was he was leaving the parking lot and we had just gotten our order. I would have loved to find out if he was a Fanatic or knew about us.

I was sure that was the case. That was why I picked on the statement I "highlighted" and why I opened with "Not to pick on anyone in particular, but this shows a situation which has been bothering me for a while."
Your post just seemed the right one to bring it up.

, BlueStreak . . . we should always stop and say HI.
Since my "other vehicle" is more unique than my R plus it has an equally unique (ok, maybe weird) license plate, frequently I am stopped and asked . . . "where's The Doophus?" It is amazing how so many people remember our little trucks.
