I will be in Maggie Valley for the rally in May....But that will probably not be enough "R" Cruisin" for me. So since I can't go to the national I would like to do something else before another winter sets in and the tops go back up until spring.
Would those of you in the Virginias, Carolinas, Ga, Ala, Tenn, La and Fla be interested in a Meet & Greet in the early fall? Meet centrally, depending on those interested could be in Atlanta or even Myrtle Beach, rates go down after Labor Day. Tell me what you think.

Corvette Museum and a Tour of the manufacturing facility is a great idea. Just make sure it's on a weekend that there isn't a big event in the area planned for another club or event, it's a mad house there on those weekends.
Or ...
How about a visit to the Charlotte area for the Auto Fair that is similar to the Daytona runs? Thousands of cars and vendors. Maybe we could visit a race shop or two and hang out for a day as a club inside the event show area. Charlotte Motor Speedway | Speedway | Fall Food Lion AutoFair
Love to Meg. At least at this point I am interested. Depends upon date. Thanks
I thought somewhere halfway between NC&VA and Fla. Could be Mid Georgia around Savannah, 250 miles from me or more to the West side of the boundry toward Alabama. Drive in Friday night or Saturday morning have dinner a few drinks maybe a local cruise on Saturday home by Sunday. Open to suggestions with the MV rally beginning 19th of May; I think this venture should be in the early fall before the cold weather. After Labor Day the rates go down everywhere so Myrtle Beach is also an option. The point being suggest what, schedule & location, you want and the majority wins.

What about Helen GA? For those that don't know about Helen, it is a German villeage styled town. It is in north GA, would make a great fall cruise area.

Meg, We would be interest in joining you in one of these locations. If the timing is right, of course, as a lot of us will be going to AZ in September.

Helen is a neat little town, being from GA, been there several times. I fantasize about all these get-togethers just cant go to any of them due to my business. But its fun to read about them
Hot Dang!!!! You folks got this thing going!! I see several suggestions; do you want to do a poll?? ~ firm it all up with arrival dates, location & cruise etc. Those of us going to Maggie can come up with a couple variations.
The Suggestions Thus Far:
Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
AutoFair Charlotte Motor Speedway ~ August 25 - 28
Helen GA ~ German Style Village
~ Any Other Suggestions??
This is a group effort so the majority wins the location
FOR ME since I still work and pay bills, arriving late Friday or early Saturday, cruise on Saturday with dinner lots of drinks and departing Sunday for home; that is what works for me. BUT I am flexable with the schedule with enough advance time.

David, as fast as you drive you could be here by tomorrow if you left now
Yes, he could... made the trip many times coming home from college in NV.
I'm up for wherever Meg. My guess is others are too, just need to pick dates, start a poll/pick a place, etc. Maybe take a look at the pinmap and pick something central to the most pins?
And of course you can add Vegas to the destination, it will get at least two votes
Meg, just in case you did not know grandma has done three Annual BBQs in GA. My guess they will do another this year. Here is a link to last years BBQ. I hope that grandma will have one this year in the fall. 3rd Annual BBQ in Gerogia
