There is a run planned to Bowling Green on Friday ... August 15th. Going to tour the Vette factory and museum. The tour is scheduled for 11:30 am {Central Time} I think there will be 6 SSR's from Tenn. And at least 2 from E-town Ky. Terri and Duane Hudson from Bowling Green, have put this together. So hope you all can make it. The weather promises to be good to us. And if you want to meet us here in Etown that morning, and drive together to B.G.. Let PURPLEFLASH know!!!!

The plant tour is VERY cool. The wife got to "give birth" to a Vette on the line by being the first one to sit in it and turn the key. I would like to do it again sometime. Have fun!!
We were just there, the first tour is the best if you can arrange it, no one is on break and the whole line is working, we went to the second one and half the line was closed. Just FYI!!! It was fun!
they only take cash for Corvetter merchandise but there is an ATM inside!
No open toe shoes, no childred under 7yrs. no outside drinks or food! no camera's

What route are you all taking? I should be getting on the road from Cincinnati about Noon on friday - Perhaps I could swing off of I-75 at BG and say hello???

Hi Kwhopper,
Plans are to meet in Etown at 8:30am (eastern time) at Shoney's parking lot, exit 94. Then head to Bowling Green on I-65. Will be meeting the TN group in Bowling Green for breakfast at Cracker Barrel at 10:00 (eastern time) at exit 22. We have reservations for the tour at the Corvette Factory at 12 noon (eastern time). Right now there will be 5 cars leaving from Etown. And I think there will be 5 cars from TN.
Hope anyone of these times can work out for you to meet us.

I should be ready to get off the Interstate by the time I get to BG - I'll cruise by the plant and see if the SSR's are still there! Do you have coordinates to the plant? Offramp to use? Thanks...
Kwhopper if you are going to detroit from cinci you will go past bowling green, OH and if you are going past the vette plant in bowling green, KY you will miss the woodward cruise
just an fyi

Kwhopper directions to the Corvette factory in Bowling Green, KY is exit 28 off I-65 S. That is 60 miles north of Nashville, TN. And 100 miles south of Louisville, KY.
But cancam is so right. I didnt think about the confusion between BG, Ohio and BG, KY.
Bowling Green, KY is the only place the corvette is built. If you are in the area it is a must see..
Thats what I said when me and my friend were in KY last month at the Wild Turkey distillery.
Gina,
I wish you could have made the KY Bourbon Trail run with us in April. 7 distilleries in 2 days. And most did give samples. It was a great weekend. Next time you are up this way, let us know.
