Thanks Alex05SSR - MV show and shine
Alex, you did GREAT once again. Thanks a lot for doing all the extra work and putting together a great show and shine in Maggie Valley, it was a great addition to the main event. I know you did a lot of work to put it all together and we had a great time!!!

Alex does an OUTSTANDING job at organizing this car show. Also dont forget to thank Furykay for providing the trophies and for the time he spent with Alex counting the ballots. That is very time consuming from what I hear.

We to want to thank Alex. He does a great job putting this part of our weekend event together and some how he even requisitioned good weather. Not only does he work hard to make this come off so well , he accepts our riddling about being the "king of bling" with good humor ,but most importantly Alex is the one who donates the trophies that Furykay makes! We thank you.

Chuck,
Thanks for the kind words!
A BIG thanks goes out to Furykay for getting the trophies made for me again this year. Each year he tries to get a bit different look for the awards.
I really enjoy putting on the show. It's my pleasure and my way of giving back to the great bunch of fanatics/friends that we all have.
On the "King of Bling" thing.....my favorite compliment this past weekend was when fanatic TNSSRMAN (Floyd) looked over my truck, and then while walking away he said...."man, you're sick!"
Coming from a "blingmaker" himself, that was as good as it gets.
I agree. Alex it goes more smoothly each year. Behind the scenes is probably chaos, but that is the mark of a well planned event. No body see that!
Thanks again, and of course YOUR truck is the one we all aim to beat.
Bud,
Thanks! However, after the show each year I realize that there are at least a couple of things that could be improved.
Next year I will have a separate page of instructions which will stipulate the requirements and conditions for voting in each of the categories. I had a number of questions during the show from the fanatics, so hopefully this will take care of those issues. Also this will hopefully get everyone on the same page as to what things must be considered in voting in a particular category.
As I told some of the fanatics during the show, it's not appropriate for the show "promoter" to be in the competition as well. I enjoy just being there with the rest of you "on display". I had several folks come up to me and remark how difficult the voting was this year. Well, that's a tribute to you all, and the effort that you put in to taking your trucks to the level that they are at. I'm glad to see that many of the fanatics share my same "bling" disorder!
Let me add, Bud.....you've got one very awesome SSR yourself!

Trophys
I must clear the air about the trophys ,I DO NOT MAKE THEM. I have a very good "LION" camper friend that makes them ,His wife is the current National LION'S president and has designed all the trophys I have brought to M.V.
I enjoy being a part of the Maggie Valley Rally ."SEE YOUAL NEXT YEAR

Furykay, thanks for clearing that up. Alex spends a ton of his personal money and time to put this on and really does a great job. Everyone that assisted putting the weekend together did a great job with the event and I am glad to be with the group again up to all!
You all are very welcome! It was my pleasure, and I really enjoy doing it. I learn something from it every year, and hope to make improvements in some way each year.
As I mentioned in another thread on this year's rally, a special thanks from me goes out to Gina for setting up the venue for the show this year. Hopefully we can have it there again next year.
Just wanted to say thanks to Alex for all his hard work in organizing the car show and for purchasing all the trophies year after year. His efforts were greatly appreciated and the sunshine definitely was a plus.

We have a tentative yes on the location. The only problem might be if the owner sells some of those lots in the back where our extas parked.
