Flooding

I was in Richmond today. When I got home at around 3 PM, my dock was under water and my pontoon boat was floating above it still moored to the dock (good Rigger knots!!!). I went wading up to my knees on the dock, reached under the water and untied the boat and pulled it up on shore and tied it off to a tree. I then had to wade out into the lake and get my wooden love seat (that water is colfd man!!)The lake has risen at least 3 feet and doesn't seem to be stopping. It is still raining and still have high winds. I just went out and pulled the boat up another few feet. Just thankful no harm soo far, Hope the dock stays planted in the lake!!!!

Virginia Beach

Just got a PM fron Ed (cruzned). Sounds like his area where he lives is holding up fairly well. Said they had 70 mph winds last night!

well here in norfolk we got hit pretty hard.i was lucky just far enough away from the bay for any major flooding but man the yard is just filled with debris.good thing i bought that '82 el camino to drive as the "R" stayed comfortably in the garage.three blocks from here and it may have been a different story!
