Use SSR Club when making your reservations. (2) Queens for $89.99 + Tax offering a continental breakfast, 24 hr pool. Grill out back for BBQ'ing if we would like. I have blocked out 10 rooms until Sept. 1st 2008. Please allow for a 24 hr notice should you need to cancel your reservations. The spa and sauna are not working this year. The Firemans Memorial is the same weekend so the hotel is booked.....10 rooms are all that is available at this hotel 1 room is a smoking room. Please make your reservations soon we have #'s 55020-01 thur to 55020-08 on hold till Sept 1st 2008.

Last year we didn't bring candy to throw out at the kids for the "Cruise around the Lake" (we didn't know) are we doing it this year? I have a membership to Sams Club and can pick up a couple of bags.......Yes or No???

Hi Deb, in our area car cruises, they have said we are no longer able to throw candy from our cars in fear that some child will run out in front of us and get hit by the cars. We have seen several close calls when we did this in a large cruise up in Mackinaw city. The little ones just don't look , when there is candy on the road they will run out to get it.So, I guess my vote for the candy would be, lets not!!

I just realized that Pat & I had not yet committed. I just called & made reservations for Friday & Saturday nights. Add us to the list. Pat MAY not make it because grandchild #8 is due September 15th, but I'll come reguardless. Maybe I'll need to bring my girlfriend instead. GBG

Over the WDC this past weekend we had many more members interested in participating in this run. The hotel only has 10 rooms available for us as the Fireman's Memorial is also this weekend. Steve and I will be giving up our room and will be staying in our camper which is only a mile or so from the happenings. I haven't called yet but I will make this room available soon.
Since my sister works at the hotel Steve and I can enter at anytime
We may need another hotel......hope I can secure one if needed.
Early registration is due by Sept. 1st and the form is attached in post #1
I will be securing a few places for us to eat dinner to.
Just remembered to make reservations. We got the last non smoking room. They have a room with a hot tub left for $119 and a smoking room left.
Glad I didn't wait any longer.
