1ST meeting in Peoria - Sat. Oct 7......

Just starting new club here in Peoria, it's Mid-Illinois SSR Owners Club. So far we have 8 SSR owners interested in getting it off the ground and flying. Like that Terry? We have another 4 to 5 that are possibily interested in joining our group. Our first meet was this morning, only 5 of us were able to make the meet today, but it's off to a good start. Everyone seemed to be very interested in making it work. Here are a couple of pictures from this morning.

A big thanks to Emil for the leg work in getting this Centeral Illinois Gang together.

To everyone in attendance for the coffee meeting, hope to see you all again at the next get together.

And a Special Thanks to Kathy, for helping Emil get the photos posted. Emil, nice twist with getting this thing to fly.

Emil and I talked about maybe doing a run to Starved Rock on October 22 (Sunday) for a brunch. If anyone else in Illinois area wants to join in, drop us a PM or a post.

Any and all SSR owners are welcome. The more the merrier! We are thinking about Oct 22 at Starved Rock park for a Sunday meet and brunch. It's around 2 hours for us and I think about the same from Chicago. Keep us posted if you'd liketo attend and anybody else.

Just checking to see if anyone else from the Chicago area have any further desire to meet up at Starved Rock this Sunday for brunch. We are getting some Peoria people together for a drive to Starved Rock. Check in please so we can firm up a time and place to meet.

Due to the week end weather forcast and some unforseen schedule conflicts, the planned trip to Starved Rock this week end, 10/22 has been postponed to a later date. Sorry if this caused any probelms. We will try to do this on a better weather week end.

Hi my name is loralee im 27 and I have a purple ssr i would like to join your club and i am so excited to have the car i've dreamed about since I was a child. I've always wanted a convertible pick up truck and when I saw the concept car in "00 I knew I would have it one day and in January of this year my dream came true. I am so excited even though it has to stay in the garage until all the salt is gone but its ok I still sit in it and pretend so im all good.

Hi everyone, sorry about you all not geting to attend. We just started this meet last fall. So far there is around 8 of us from the Peoria area. is stored in the garage nice and cozy. shes not gonna touch the streets until all the salt is far far away. I have been looking for some kind of ssr club and finally i came up with something in google and i am so excited.

ok, i got bored and i looked at all your profiles and man do I feel young. But dont worry, I wont hold it against you. I hang out with men and women your ages all the time. Younger people just dont understand anything anymore. It seems like they dont understand consequences and they take things for granted. Fortunately, i know I have something special and I'll be damned if it is ever gonna get taken away from me. I also dont take the little things for granted, i know they make the biggest impact on people even if you yourself dont believe it. Oh yeah and even if people do fight dirty i know to ignore them and I think its made me a better person. Thank you mom!!!
