Quite an adventure.......
I`m glad you missed the big storm that went through. I was imagining towing your trailer in a big snowstorm and trying to make any time. After all these pics and memories, is this a trip you are interrested in repeating next year? Marathons like that are in my past and I`m Pondering the long trip to Springfield. I think it was waysouth6speed that said, "I hope I still love my SSR after this trip". Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Looking forward to meeting you and Steve at Maggie Valley......Paul

After saying goodbye to Gina, Danny, Marty and Dee as they headed off to Vegas. Steve and I traveled thur Oatman onto the other side. Unknown territory..............we headed right into a 7,000 ft elv. mountain with winding roads that didn't seem to fit the White knuckles again!
The road was called Deadman and was part of the Old Historic Route 66 Picture.... mules in the mountains close to the road.....abandoned homes....sun damaged classic vehicles and no one around All we could hope was that the didn't over heat and the GPS was correct
On the other-side of the mountain was this great gas station.....a perfect spot to capture the awesome scenery and style of the

I suspect you'll love it even more. I took a 2000 mi plus trip (towing my other car the whole way for a show) about 6 months after getting my SSR. I was completely sold after that. The SSR did everything better than my old truck, even got better mileage. The permagrin was priceless!

Not next year
Steve and I would do it again..........Our song now is "On the Road Again.....just can't wait to get on the Road Again"
We did hit snow in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois while towing the trailer.....dropped us down to 45/50mph due to visibility.
Yes, I love my even more now............why?
It has now become part of Historic Route 66
It took 2513 miles of hard ass driving and preformed beautifully
The strangers we met on the way and the amazing views we've seen
My history with this vehicle has just become stronger and we bonded yet again
It made our relationship (Steve and I) Stronger.....the laughter we shared was truly fun and the adventure an exciting one

Good old Marty............Your gonna get it
For all the prayers along the way to and from and for all the fun we had with all of you...............Thanks for sharing our trip
