If he needs a registration flier let me know his address in PM and I'll get one out to him.
We'll be handing out fliers at the car shows as soon as I get some from the pro printer.

That's wonderful! I was a Boy Scout but my troop disbanded when I was only 1st Class Scout. Both of my sons were Boy Scouts. One got up to Life Scout and the other got to Eagle Scout with Bronze Palms. That's quite and achievement to get to Eagle and I'm sure you are a very proud dad.

That I am. And he is also Eyeing up the palms. He's hoping to earn enough for at least one Gold Palm. (that's a lot of Merit badges beyond Eagle). He's got Time as he will only be 14 when he completes Eagle. We've Worked Hard to get this far and he plans to keep on going.

Clearfield • John Bills’ quest to earn every Boy Scout merit badge had an unexpected result: It saved his grandfather’s life.
It wasn’t the life-saving merit badge that did it. Or first aid. Or emergency preparedness. The badge the now-Eagle Scout credits with his grandfather’s rescue was actually dog care.
The story went something like this: During a visit to the Humane Society for his dog-care merit badge, John adopted a red Irish setter named Jake. It was an impulse decision. But on a freezing February night, just two days after bringing the dog home, it paid off.
It was 2 a.m. when Jake began to growl and fidget. The noise awoke Chris Bills, John’s father, who arose from bed to see what was the matter. After finding nothing amiss, he lay down again. But Jake refused to calm down. So Bills arose for a second time. It was then that he discovered John’s grandfather — an 84-year-old with Alzheimer’s — standing on the doorstep in 2-degree weather wearing nothing but pajamas. The ailing man had been locked out.
"I couldn’t believe it," John said. "My dad and I rescued Jake as part of a merit badge, and Jake actually ended up saving my grandpa’s life."
Serendipity is the word John’s father uses to describe many of the events that occurred during his son’s search for every merit badge offered by the Boy Scouts of America.
John — the 19-year-old son of father Chris Bills from Holladay and mother Diane Prince and stepfather Robert Prince from Centerville — decided shortly after earning his Eagle, at age 13, that he wanted to earn every merit badge. It was a lofty goal. Although it takes 21 merit badges to earn the Eagle rank, the Boy Scout organization offers 129 patches.
John met his goal, finishing his last merit badge on Oct. 29 — the night before 18th birthday.

Thanks M&M,
I'm going to print this off and tell the story at this coming Tuesday nights Court of Honor.
I just went through the merit badges my son has Earned. Lookes like the rank goes from Bronze-Gold-Silver and then combo's with more badges earned. So far He's got enough for up to the 1st Silver (15 Extra Merit badges). But Earning the Eagle comes 1st. He needs this project completed and two merit required badges (Citizenship in the Nation which we are stating after the court of Honor, and Emergency Preparedness or Lifesaving, both of which have been started.)

Got all the envelopes with letters of request done this morning. I'll take em all to the post office on Monday.
Unfortunately we did them with no help from his troop, except for one asst. troop leader. We did have help from the neighbor girl who needed some community service hours.
Over the next few weeks we get to watch for responses and log them in the spreadsheet.

Recieved a few calls today on the Eagle Scout Project.
Travis now has
(3) 1 month memberships for the Athletic club for the silent Auction
Commitments for something by 3 Artist's from Virginia, California, and Florida
something from the Texas Roadhouse
And fielded a phone call from his first Sponsor for the show. The gentleman requested to remain anonymous (which we will repspect) and just wanted the sponsorship to be named In Memory of Stan Fox the Indy Race driver who passed away in 2007 (I think) in New Zealand.
I'll post more as things come in.

A few more responses today. Unfortunately more unable to helps than can helps. But all with commendations on the project and info packets.
We're set up for Thursday morning for the interview about the Project to get out the word and what help we still need, and then sit down to discuss the content of the service announcements for later on.
Had a meeting with Scott Schroeder Law firm in town. Scott wanted to meet Travis in person to dicuss his needs. Come to find out, he is also and Eagle Scout. By the time we were done he had agreed to help out by donating (3) document preparations and an I-pod for the Silent Auction.
So two plus' out of five today still wasn't all bad.

This week was a good week.
We recieved requests for donation forms from three other Pampered Chef reps.
The first (Nikki) has committed to a Dove's Chocolate Discoveries Basket.
The other two have offered a Thirty One Gifts set, and Amway Artistry Pamper package. Still awaiting the donations request confirmations.
So LADIES. There will be items that you will be assured to like in the Silent Auction as well.
And here's something many of you will love.
I went through some of my Posters/Prints and found that I have 2 SSR factory posters. I have decided to Put one up for Online Auction the week before the "Eagle's for Higher Education" Event. Starting July 1st and ending July 6th at midnight CST.
