Deb,
We think that it sound great and really like what you have put together so far. Count us and we hope others will also be going. So....what about you others out there!? Lets have a fun time on a great weekend that DEB IS TRYING TO PUT TOGETHER FOR US!! Let her know .
Considering I never new Michigan had one. We went on one while we were in California and it was very enjoyable!
Deb, Great Idea on the Wine Trail run Michigan has some great Winery's
Had another suggestion that could also be a great overnight run. It would include a stop in Frankenmuth with Christmas not that far away now Bronner's is always a special trip. A bunch of SSR's driving through downtown Frankenmuth would be awesome. Then head to Midland have you ever been there? Great little town clean and nice with that old town atmosphere. They have this very cool Tridge (a Tri Bridge) very cool it takes you to a very nice park that has a River Walk nice picnic area and lots of parking for our SSR's. Next on to Valley Plaza Resort for the overnight part just outside of Midland this place is great has like 5 pools a large modern Bowling Alley (yes we would bring our balls) A movie theatre with 4 or 5 new shows running, A miniture golf course several restaurants all in the resort. We were there rented a huge 2 room Suite with King Size bed for $139.00 for the night (of course they have smaller rooms for much less) also free continental breakfast.
Any way just a suggestion or maybe a future run!

Ray,
I aslo think this sounds like a great fall trip as well. I would like to hear some feedback from out MI members. We are all felxible I'm sure and can go with what the majority would like..........Let's hear what you think? Remember I am not the only one that has to be planning these runs.....anyone can get one going and all are welcomed to do so! Everyone's thoughts are welcomed
Whatever we decide to do, we have three weekends to choose from Oct 6th/Oct 13th or Oct 20th. However it seems as though we are seeing fall colors early. My backyard is already starting to change. We may want to go with the earlier dates.

Marv and I have been to Frankenmuth a few time for the big car show they have there. It is a great idea
and I think others would enjoy it also. We agree that this could be a trip that all would like to do at any time.

Sorry I'm so late into this posting. I've not had time to "lurk" on the site lately.
Pat & I would LOVE to go on a color tour. Neither of us drink, so a wine tour wouldn't have much appeal to us. However, if the majority prefers a wine tour; no hard feelings.
Pat is a grade school teacher & can not get off on a Friday much before 5PM. A Saturday/Sunday trip would be great. Could even include Friday evening.
Guess I should read the ENTIRE thread before I reply! The Frankenmuth trip sounds nice also. Pat & I have made that trip several times, but never stayed the night. They also have a HUGE outlet mall at Birch Run (just outside of Frankenmuth). All three weekends suggested are open on our calendar as of this writing. LOL
