Here we go......get ready for a Michigan Fall Colors Run ....mark your calendar and get your rooms booked

October 14th & 15th (Saturday/Sunday)

I have 8 Rooms on hold at the Valley Plaza Resort In Bay City MI

I have gotten us a discount using my AAA membership

Price (King Size) 89.99 + Tax (NO Continental Breakfast) however they do have a resturant at the hotel where we can eat breakfast.

When making reservations refer to (Debbie Cook) and give them your charge card info.
Please make your reservations as soon as possilbe all rooms are being held under my charge card. I need to cancel remaining rooms 2 days before arrival or I will be charged.

Schedule of Events......

10:00 A.M. Saturday Oct. 14th Meet at Frankenmuth in the Zehnders's Parking Lot

Here we will stroll the shops and streets of Frankenmuth along with a visit to the famous Bronners' Christmas Wonderland http://www.bronners.com/

We will also eat a fabulous homestyle "All You Can Eat Chicken Dinner" at either Zehnder's or Bavarian Resturants.

I am also looking into a 1 hr RiverBoat Tour on the Bavarian Belle

Depart whenever and head to the Valley Plaza Resort In Bay City MI (approx 45min drive from Frankenmuth)

Bring your bowling balls or par take in a movie at the Hotel. I will be bowling

Sunday Morning/afternoon cruise thru Midland and catch Michgans Fall Colors at their finest!! No route planned ....let's just roll with it

Now com'on Michiganders and surrounding areas for a fun filled over night stay.

I just reserved our room. Pat & I will be attending.

When I called he had no idea what I was talking about. He TRIED to find it under Michigan SSR Club even though I TOLD him that they were being held under Debbie Cook. Finally he said, "Oh here they are under Debbie Cook."

Anyone else attending?

Charlie I received your e-mail also. Yes, rooms are held under "Debbie Cook" as stated below. The hotel would not allow me to put it under 'SSR Club"

Even though I had asked! I made the reservations around 12:00 noon today. They may need a little more time updating the records.

You guys are going to have a great time! Linda and I will be in the Bahamas from the 12th to the 19th and won't be able to make it to this one.

Glad to see that Marv & Judy and Carl & Judy are joining in. It would really be nice to see some more faces. Deb works REALLY hard getting these things set up & it is a shame if only a few of us enjoy them.

The colors should be nearing peek by then. We've got a bit of a start here in SE Michigan already.

However I have heard back from 4 MI members that are not able to attend this trip.

The couple from Bay City (Carl & Judy) will be joining us for both days but will not be staying at the hotel with us.

Steve and I are looking very forward to this trip......so even if we have (4) SSR's we are going to make the best of it

Charlie® it’s not that we don't have an interest to be involved, it’s just I'm tied down at work. I have missed other events that I had rooms paid for but can not get away. I do appreciate Debbie setting these runs up and want to meet you new people ... Lord knows I need some R & R. So have fun with the lucky ones that can get there.

I don't think Charlie® meant that you didn't have an interest. I and we all know you would be there if you could.

As soon as Steve found out you and Ray couldn't make it.........he said "Move the date back then"

This was something I thought about doing.......but e-mails have been sent and it's more work to undo it then it is to just run with it.

We are a small group and have never really had more then 6 on any runs and usually the same persons participating. I would like to see different members join in on the fun every once in a while. We have enough members on here and the SSR Club site to make a difference........only time will tell!

All are welcomed to participate. Next year I won't be participating in all of the runs as I have a summer schedule that is already filling up. I'll set them up and we will go from there.

As I have said in the past anyone is welcomed to post a gathering..... even if it's just for the day. That's what makes a group special when everyone particpates by either attending or schedueling the runs. I can't be at all of these runs either.

I enjoyed meeting you at the picnic. Have you finished your "concept version" conversion yet? The mirror set up you had was very interesting.

Steve and I are planning on Bowling at the Valley Plaza Resort on Saturday night.

Do we have any bowlers in our group that would like to join us?

If you don't want to bowl you can take in a Move at the Movie Theater in the Hotel.
