Great Lakes-Things to do-Events Planned in Michigan

I've been receiving e-mails since signing up on the Great Lakes site and though I would share some up and coming events.

Grab your SSR buddies and head out to a few of these up-and coming events I'll be watching these as we may be able to plan several day runs that could turn out to be some great fun


Great Lakes Kite Festival

This is the Midwest's largest kite festival featuring giant kites, expert fliers, seminars, kite ballets and much more. A giant kids tent and test fields where you can learn to fly free. Mackinaw Memorial Bridge Race

Gear Up for an Active Summer with the Mackinac Bridge Memorial Weekend Race. One of the only times of year that runners are allowed to run the Mackinac Bridge will be this year on May 29. Runners must register in advance and be able to run a minimum of 12 minutes per mile to race in the event. For more information on this event call (231) 436-5664.
