Deb, do you know if the Estate Sale next weekend is open to the public or just us Forum Fanitics? I would love to meet Greg's family and see his SSR model collection. Even thou I do have most of the SSR model's listed, there's always room for a couple more. Wish I lived closer!

This is the private sale........I think the weekend after is the one that's opened to the public. I am not sure that any of Gregs family will be there.

The collection of SSR's is a very nice one and well worth seeing

Please don't forget that you can view many of these items up close at the private sale on Saturday Nov. 14th from 10:00 to 4:00 PM.....I will be dropping in to see how progress is going. If you need the address .....please PM me for it or contact Paul.

I PM Debbie and told her I would not be able to make it to the estate sale tomorrow. Just curious if anyone from Michigan or surrounding States are planning on going so I can asked them later what I missed out on!

I just got home yesterday and read this thread. It really made me sad. Grymme pm'd me about bidding and buying a lot of SSR toys. I learned a lot from him and my collection has a lot of his input on my purchases. I know these items made him happy. I miss him.

I miss him too. He used to outbid me on EBay on a regular basis.

I spoke to Paul, and some of Grimmye's collection will make its way to a good home. Can't believe how many SSR toys Gregg had 5 or 6 or 7 of.

Wow did Grimmye have the stuff! You all seen the SSR items in addition there must have 300+ car and motorcycle books, many beautiful model ships with the wood and tools to build them, Vintage Hot Wheels and Matchbox defiantly a car lovers sale. I know it will do well for the family.RIP

I've been told by Paul that many items have been sold via of the forum......I will be meeting with Paul at a later time to see what is left after the public action next week. We will then revamp the list and go from there

I am not sure of what items you were trying to buy Scott....but I do know that Paul was very easy to work with and was willing to negotiate . I along with other members helped in pricing many of these items with a low and high value in today's market.

I would give Paul a call I am sure he will work with you on a fair price for what you wanted!

I do not have a list of what is left but will as soon as Paul updates the excel spreadsheet I sent him.

There will be another sale "Special Sale" (discounted items) on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving Day. I am sure the time will be the same 10:00-4:00 PM

When will it all be over? I would think the family would want the house cleared of stuff and put it up for sale. When we had a sale thats how we wanted it, but who knows in this market.

I keep sending/getting emails & phone calls but can't seem to get the deal done. I get an email telling me to call, so I call and get told to send another email. We've done this a couple of times, he's supposed to tell me if he has the items I wanted and what is the total cost with shipping. I hope he follows through this time. These items were priced to sell, so I'm happy with the price.

In case anyone was wondering

I spoke with Paul this morning all of Grymme's SSR items and even clothing have been sold. Most of them going to one bidder as a package deal from our site


The home is going on the real estate market sometime this week and the is still in the hands of the family. At this time there are no plans of selling it!
