How do you live with this weather?
Alright, I have arrived in Stillwater, MN and it is COLD. It was 22 at 1200 Noon when we landed at MSP. I got to walk the streets of St. Paul pushing my mother in a wheel chair in the wind for two blocks to the Home and Patio Show. Why would you have that at this time of year. All I could think of was "let's get inside where it is warm" and when we did everyone was still wearing their warm jackets and boots and such. It was nice inside. Took my jacket off and put it back on when we left. Makes no sense to me the way they do things. Got a week of this then back to the weird, but warm, weather in CA.

They gotta do something to keep everybody out n' about regardless of the weather.
Just spent 5 hours driving to Des Moines, Iowa usually a 3 hour trip, in a blizzard snow storm to pick up our dog we had bred last week. At least by the time we started home to Kansa City most of the roads were clear or just wet.So now It's time to relax before bed. Please no more snow for a while.
It is nice here in Texas. Clear, sunny, lake is still. At 8:00 p.m. the outside temp. is about 68. Hearing about that snow reminds me of living on the farm in upstate New York. We had the Lake Erie influence.

You should experience some really brutal cold. We had -33F here a couple of days ago. That's not wind chill, that's real ambient temperature. With the wind it felt like -60F. Not far from here in Devils Lake, ND they had -37F that same morning.
That sort of cold is way past Brrr Cold. It's literally painful cold.

Been in 40 below before, watching the northern lights. Doggone beer had the nerve to freeze in the bottle before I was done.

Same here . . . born and raised in Northeastern Iowa . . . freezin' my butt off doing my paper route every morning in the winter . . . fighting off the mosquitos as big as turkeys in the summer . . . don't miss it at all. Only go back these days to bury my relatives . . . only ONE left and she's 97 ! ! Tough ole gal, my Aunt, and she'll probably outlive me.
I do, however, miss fishing on the Mississippi River, squirrel, deer and pheasant hunting, and making babies in the back seat of my Dad's '57 Chevy.
