Lake Michigan SSR Cruise

I would not mind getting up a mid summer SSR Lake Michigan cruise if it showned enough interest. Maybe on one of the last 2 weekends of July.
Any help planning, etc. would be welcome.

I think that the Niagara Falls rally is on the 23,24,25 too for just the people who are going to that .

As of now count me/us in.
I have some company coming sometime in late July but I'm thinking I can work that out.

I agree that we shouldn't schedule the same weekend as the Niagara Falls event (we may want to do that one too

so we're probably looking at the last weekend in July.

Whatever dates we agree on, I'm thinking of heading your way via Pottersville, MI (exit #66 off of I-69) to take Elizabeth to Joe's "Gizzard City" Bar for lunch...she'll hate it

Everyone is welcome to join us.

I'm not familiar with your neck-of-the-woods, but if we have time, a side trip to the Gilmore Museum might be something the group would like.
Also, if our schedule allows, a late evening cruise at the nostalgic Rosie's Diner in Rockford, MI could be fun.

I think for a fee, they'll rinse the parking lot down and let us do a group SSR photo...that would be cool, eh?

Sounds like fun. We can't go the last weekend in July (I'll be in Florida) but the second to last one is open (as of now). Second weekend of August also looks good for me, but Pat will probably be in Colorado (her #2 daughter is having her 2nd baby about that time).

I'm thinking about changing the Lake Michigan cruise to a day trip/lunch cruise since summer is such a busy time! We could meet in Jackson, Mi. for lunch at Hudson's Classic Grill instead. We could do it during the week since most of us are retired or self employed anyway. Go on line to www.hudsonsgrill.com and check it out.

.. I'll driving up to West MI in late June or early July this Summer 2011! I'll be leaving out of the North Phoenix area. Anyone want to cruise?
I'll be stopping off in Lucas, TX for a few daze.
My destination will be Muskegon Lake / Lake MI channel area. Will also be in Grand Rapids.
Let me know if you want to cruise in MI.
Anything planned for MI this July 2011?

We ending up doing a 4 day U P tour last fall! It was put together by Glen & Elizabeth (Harlyguy). What a memorable SSR trip Glen and Elizabeth put together for us!!
NOW they are working on our Route 66 Rally to Flagstaff AZ. later this year. See the other MI. posts for more details.
