As 32Revolver said it's a long run to Whitefish Point and if that's at the end of the day, the closest town for lodging is Paradise.
There's a nice Best Western in Paradise with a great lake view but we should book well ahead if we're planning on staying there.

Have you the version of "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Byron Burns? It is a little different than Gordon Lightfoot's. At the end a bell tolls for each crew member and Burns gives their name and position they served on the ship.

Kenny;
There's a gift shop (imagine that) next to the Museum and thay have a lot of pictures, etc. about the ship.
If I remember correctly, entrance into the Museum was $12 per person last fall and they also have tours of the living quarters for the lighthouse caretakers.

If we're going that far, we may as well include Tahquamenon Falls too, eh?
No doubt I always have the distance others travel in mind Steve is wonderful at planning these outings with me I'm sure if there is room we will fit it in

Out of Staters should arrive on Thursday (I will let you know where to get a room if you need it)
Friday Morning Early AM (time to be announced)
We will meet at a designated location (TBA)
These are the lighthouses we are planning on seeing Friday
On the MI Lighthouse Map (see attachment)
#23 Tawas Point Lighhouse
#22 Sturgeon Point Lighthouse & Museum
#20 New Presque Isle Lighthouse
#21 Old Presque Isle Lighthouse
#19 Forty Mile Point Lighthouse (this will be the point we will stop and get a hotel room for the night (TBA)

#19 Forty Mile Point Lighthouse (if not completed on Friday)
# 18 Old Mackinac Point Lighhouse
#17 Point Iroquois Lighthouse & Museum
#16 Whitefish Point Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum , Bed & Breakfast
(If time allows we will be seeing Tahquamenon Falls)

Debbie, I'm sorry to hear this as I was really looking forward to it. Maybe someone else would like to help you out and lead the rest of us. You had a nice list of Fanatics from a few states.

Anyone that wants to jump in and run it can....all are welcomed or wait till I can get it going again...that's fine too ... I just finished scheduling my side jobs to the end of the year. I have three clients that want their books up an running in QB by the end of the year. I cannot free up anytime after Woodward and don't want to as I'd rather be setting my foot in the right direction Don't like to cancel a run I start as I always see them through from start to finish.....not in this case though. I hope you all understand
