MI Members Holiday Dinner Meet

MI members.....just because we put our SSR's away for the up and coming frigid winter doesn't mean we can't meet somewhere for a Holiday Dinner to take time to wish each other a Happy Holiday!

I would like to find a restaurant half way between us and plan for a Holiday Dinner Meet. Anyone interested? Ideas on restaurants are also welcomed

Tentative dates December 8th or 9th

Karen and I would be interested. Edmore sounds like a good idea. This time of year a lot of restarants are already booked on weekends, but it would be worth a try. Besides this would give me an excuse to show off my new winter beater!

I'll start investigating some areas this weekend. I will then go ahead and set the plan in motion.

Right now we have 6 persons interested which to me is enough to get the ball rolling!!!!

Pat and I would be interested, but I can't commit for sure. Our schedules are REALLY full this time of year. I teach M-Th evenings and she teaches M-F days, plus we have LOTS of family and work obligations other than that.

Let us know when and where & we'll TRY to make it.

Guess I should have had my coffee before I replied.

I would guess that the 9th (a Saturday) would be a better possibility for anyone who had to drive a ways to get there.

Your right! Be sure she doesn't get disappointed just in case they can't match it

That makes 10 for the Holiday Dinner. Waiting on confirmation from a few more that e-mailed me!

We'll be leaving in about an hour to go. Skys look pretty good here. Thinking of driving the SSR. Probably have to keep the top up though; Pat's not too keen on wintertime top down freeway driving.

Just got back from the dinner. We had a great time visiting with some really nice people we met at various other functions.

Marty & Dee were so nice as to bring EACH of us a bottle of Pig Snot car polish in a VERY nice Christmas bag. The only two SSR's that "braved" the weather were theirs and ours. I REALLY do NEED to get one of those Tom-Tom navigation systems that Marty has! Scot brought several small die casts that were VERY nice.

We sat at a table with Scot, Karen, Jack & Judy. At the other table were Deb, Steve, Marty, Dee, Ed, Brenda & Keith. 100% showed up!

THANK YOU ALL for letting us be a part of this enjoyable evening! Hope to see you all soon or at LEAST at WDC!

BTW, Gina, there was NO snow OR ice on our leg of the trip. Some of the others were not so blessed!

Talking Holiday Cheer

Great time! Ho Ho Ho

It was wonderful to see everyone again!!!!! Holiday Cheer was definitely spread this evening even without all of our SSR's. It was nice to see Marty's custom and Charlie® in the parking lot as we pulled in.

The company was outstanding.......most of us drove an 1 and a half each way for this sit down spend time with each other dinner. I couldn't think of a better way to bring in the holiday season!

Keith (TuffSSR)
It's been great getting to know you better and I'm thrilled that you have came out for your second outing with us.

Marty & Dee (Marty)
Thanks for the PigSnot Wax....Steve and I snorted at each other all the way home as he knows how much I love this product. Looking forward to the long hall out to Laughlin with you two. Marty your creative ideas just keep flowing on your beautiful custom SSR . I love both of you! Your company is always enjoyable!!

Jack & Judy (OLD YLR)
Your second event as well and I must say you wouldn't know it! You two have just flowed right in and it seems like we've know you two forever. I can't wait for others to meet both of you. They will see what I see......easy going fun loving and a joy to be around.

Brenda & Rebel
EH!!!! Canadian friends.....Eh! Rebel loved the smiles tonight. Talk about balancing each other out well. Brenda and you have that great quality. I always look forward to seeing you two. Enjoyed all that you two brought to the dinner table.....conversation flowed nicely.

Scott & Karen
WOW Scott......you really loosened up tonight. That's the most I've every heard from you and I enjoyed it!!! Thanks for the warm company and for the toy business deal. It's always nice to negotiate at the dinner table

Pat & Charlie
Always playing a part in these runs and loving having you both around. Please try and plan for one of the National Events in 2007 with us. It's always nice to have Michiganders with you when your out of state.

Keith (TuffSSR) would like to set up another dinner in February and I am all for it!!

Sold 2 SSR Jerseys' and two SSR Lightening hats tonight (early x-mas gifts for themselves)

Digital Camera didnt work tonight....had it with me....just didn't charge the batteries Judy took some pics with hers and said she would be sure I get a copy.

So picture this............
A corner in a steak house restaurant with two round tables butted up together. Christmas music playing in the background, corona, miller light, mixed drinks, appetizers flowing around the table. An occasionally holiday toast and 13 of the most fun loving folks sitting around these two tables. Conversations flowed from SSR's to Holiday plans and work life...to plans for up and coming runs together.

Oh and lets not forget the wonderful aroma of tantalizing food

BTW Thanks to all of you who laughed your butt of when I got up from my chair and had a dinner napkin stuck between my cheeks ....what are friends for

SSR Christmas gathering!

Just want to say thanks to Deb for getting us Michigander's together this holiday season. Sorry, can't forget Marty and Dee from Ohio and Keith and Brenda from Ontraio. It was great to see old and new faces again.
Thanks to Marty and Dee for the Pig Snot and just the great time Karen and I had with everyone.

Merry Christmas to all, Scott and Karen

Holiday Dinner

Judy and I had a Great time seeing some of the friends we met on the Fall Color Tour, Charlie & Pat, Steve & Debbie and Keith. Then meeting our new friends, Scott & Karen, Marty & Dee and Ed & Brenda at the Long Horne Steakhouse. Food was good and so was the fellowship.

Many thanks to Marty and Dee for the Pig Snot. OLDYELER and my V-Star will love it!
