Michigan to Maggie Valley Caravan

There has been some talk.....so let's talk about who can caravan together and who wants to

Unfortunately I am not in a position to say when I can leave (depends on hubby's schedule). We are tentatively planning on leaving Thursday early A.M.

Marty has a scheduled time and route....so pipe in Marty

Let's see if we can't layout a meet up time with those whom are flexible

Go for it Great Lakes

You are most Welcome and again Welcome Home we missed you!!

Marty and I talked briefly about this at the HockeyTown Cafe....he is planning on meeting up with another group that's a little out of the way.

It's a 10hr drive with one quick stop.....that's the way I do it I'm sure Marty wants to get a real early take off time.

We're thinking if we met at the Beaver Dam exit 135 on I 75 at 8:00am, we could then meet Wingrider and his group in Knoxville at 1:00pm. We would get into MV around 5:00pm. This is the exit we met at last year when we went to MV. We should be leaving this exit at 8:00am. What do think of this plan?

Who's joining the caravan? Marty will need to know who he's expecting at the Beaver Damn Exit

Marty,

Judy and I plan to leave early Thursday morning also. If we decided to join the caravan, where is exit 135 on I 75? We'd be coming down 23 to I 75. Is exit 135 south of there? If this is a quick stop and go caravan as Debbie mentioned, we'd probably pass and go on our own. Since my surgery, I have to make more frequent potty stops, probably at least in between each gas stop and also take a lunch break.

As this seems to be a real rush to get to Knoxville by 1:00, I'm thinking maybe we should just worry about getting ourselves to MV at our own pace. I think we should still leave McDonalds at 8:00am or as near to that as we can. We can travel at a normal speed, take all the potty breaks needed and stop for lunch and still get there by 5:00pm. Let me hear from you people.

Marty,

Don't change your plans on account of Judy and I. If you want to meet the other group in Knoxville at 1:00 pm, by all means do so.

If you decide to have our group do it's own thing as mentioned above, then add us to the group.

I had planned to leave our house around 5:00 am. According to Yahoo, it's 2 1/2 hrs from our house to Beaver Dam. That would put us there around 7:30 am, plenty of time to go potty, grab some breakfast and head out by 8:00 am. This works great for us as we'd be going through there about that time anyway.

Marty,

Thanks, we'll see you all Thursday morning between 7:30 and 8:00 at McDonald's in Beaver Dam, OH, Exit 135. McDonald's is the meeting place, correct?

Looking forward to MV. Everyone told us at Houghton Lake last fall that out of all the events, we should do our best to make this one!

Hi Judy, Karen and I can't decide what we want to do. Maybe just hook up alittle further south. I'll let you know before Wednesday.

Hi everyone,

JP & I are taking the slowww train to MV so we'll have to pass. We're leaving our house in Fowlerville around 5:30. We're stopping for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Findlay (exit 159) and then heading down from there. If anyone would like to join us just let us know. Thanks for the offer Marty.

Gas Prices

I just want to let anyone meeting us know that the gas at this stop is about the cheapest in Ohio. It's a Piolet station with McDonalds.
