Monmouth IL Car Show 8/3

Anyone from Illinois or Iowa going to the Monmouth IL Car Show on Friday August 3,2007.

Show time list from 6PM to 10PM.

Last year we got there around 4PM and the South end of town was out of parking spots. We finally moved closer to the square, but all side streets will have cars on display and show parking is at a premium. Some people start showing up at 8AM for a parking spot.

Last year I found two one and my If anyone was there last year I was parked near the funneral home along side of a 53 F100 Yellow with Blue flames.

Planning on going? Lets see if we can have some SS/R's parked somewhere close or meet up somewhere on the street.

I was told that there was close to 2000 cars last year for a one night show.

Maybe we can get some of our local SSR owners to meet somewhere in Peoria and drive to the show together.

We'll follow you FlynSS/R!

Monmouth IL cruise in update

Here is the clip from the local paper on last nights cruise in.
http://www.register-mail.com/stories...RJ1H.GID.shtml

The SS/R family was represented by my along with , and

The was from Woodhaul IL and we advised them about the forum and hope to see them list here soon.

The was Mr and Mrs Tomfelds from Fort Madison, Iowa.

One fellow stopped by my SS/R from Galesburg, IL. I did not get his name, but he mentioned that he has the first SS/R that was sold in Galesburg and the S/N was 77. I told him to check in on the forum, but he does not computer access at this time. He asked several questions about some problems that he was having and I told him that the answers where on the forum. So maybe I got him motivated to get on line and check in.

I must say that Tomfelds had the cleanest SS/R at the show, until some bird decided to make a fly by deposit.

Had a good time and looking forward to next year.

Man, I'm sorry I missed this event!
I'll have to take the day off next year so I can go there and get a place to park.
Sounds like the Monmouth show is growing larger every year.
