Arrow Sonic/Frankenmuth Run-November 2008

Weather Pending.........as you know we live in Michigan and the weather forecast is never dependable. A few days ago the forecast for next weekend looked good.....depending on what Internet site you go to it doesn't as now it's saying a 60% chance of rain Other sites are reporting a sunny forecast

So here is what I am going to do

Right now I'm going with Saturday Nov 1st as the Primary Date and Sunday Nov 2nd the Secondary Date............should neither of these dates work we will try for the following weekend.

Here's what we are going to do.......(the time schedule will remain the same no matter what date/day we go on)
Breakfast @ Famous Tony's Restaurant where the portions are extremely LARGE
9:00 A.M for those that would like too
Tony's I-75 Restaurant
8781 Main St.
Birch Run, MI 48415

Meet at Sonics for lunch by 11:30 A.M.
BE AWARE WE MAY HAVE A WAIT
3140 MILLER ROAD
FLINT, MI 48507--
(810) 232-2900
SONIC — America's Drive-In!

Sonic just opened a couple weeks ago, it has been very busy at times with lines of cars waiting for a place to park. If you wanted everyone to meet and then go to Sonic, there is a K-Mart across the street on the southeast side of the Miller / I-75 junction, just past Applebee's. There is a light there, so you can get back out onto Miller. If things are too busy, you can go to far east side of K-Mart lot and get out on Ballenger, then back around.

After lunch we will visit Bronners Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth
Driving Directions:
25 Christmas Lane - PO Box 176
Frankenmuth, Michigan 48734-0176
989-652-9931
From I-75 Birch Run/Frankemuth Exit #136: Turn right (east) onto Birch Run Road/M-54 and travel 2 miles to M-83/Gera Road. Turn left (north) at light onto M-83/Gera Road and travel approximately 4.5 miles to Bronner's Christmas Lane or Weiss Street entrance.
From I-75 Bridgeport/Frankenmuth Exit #144: Turn left (southeast) onto Dixie Highway and travel for 2 miles to light at Junction Road. Turn left (east) onto Junction Road and travel for 5 miles to Main Street. Turn right (south) on Main/M-83 and drive through Frankenmuth 1 mile to Bronner's Christmas Lane entrance.
Map and Directions – Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland

Onward to Frankenmuth & Zhenders
Stroll the town ...........reservations for Zhender's for 6:30 P.M. under SSR Group (Debbie Cook) for 18-25 persons.
When You arrive at Zhenders let the greeter know this and you will be taken to the area we will be seated at.
* Zehnder's Restaurant

Hey HRG and everyone else,
We will be able to do Saturday, but after that our cruises are done for this year.
It seems that this summer has just flown away and we definately did not have enough time to drive and ride in the SSR

I have a potential buyer for my R' from Kansas City. Seemed somewhat concerned that I have put 2,000 miles on it since I put it up for sale...

He still has to sell his Corevette and I'm feeling that I need to take what might be my last cruise with the some of the Fanatics...

It will probably be a last minute decision... What say you?

We are all to far apart to set anything up coming in from all different directions best to meet at Tony's or Sonic with the others.

You on the other hand are close to me.......If you want to travel together we will do so. I'll call you on the time

HRG;
FWIW, I doubt that any one person can eat that much bacon and hash browns.
It's a good idea to either share one of the bigger meals or just go for a normal portion meal.
We need to know how many are going to Tony's so the first ones there can get us seated together, eh?
BTW, for those going to Tony's, keep in mind that there is an outlet mall just across the street (just in case you want to "shop off" a few hundred calories before proceeding to the Sonic)!!
There's a Levi store in the mall so we'll probably drop by there for a short visit.
For the Harley folks, Shiawassee H-D is also just around the corner from Tony's.
