Sorry guys, I have been backing away from the site to cool off for a while. If I was in my regular fanatic mood, I would have caught Charlie’s needs and made the offer.
Have fun this weekend, and when sipping on a cold beer Saturday afternoon, think of me in 100*F+ temps, with scotch guarded coveralls that don’t breath, hair net, beard net, hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, work boots, moving machinery around, grease up to my elbows….
I guess it is for the best. Pat reminded me that I had told my dad I was coming over on Friday to help him with some drywall repair. Kinda the blind leading the blind.
I'll be seeing you all at the Dream Cruise and the picnic. I'll PROBABLY make it to Deb's on Thursday & whatever gets set for Friday. I've got the time blocked in on my calendar.

Roadside Park
We figured out that after two hours of driving we weren't even close to our destination. That's when we spotted at this roadside park and decided to pull over and find a new route heading north, catching the water view up in Traverse City instead.
We all agreed this would be best and after an enjoyable Margarita that Marty had provided for us, stretching the legs and butt ......we were off and running again.
Marty you the man ............wonder what else you had in that cooler
I could not believe it when Marty asked what I would like to drink.......I joked and said a "Margarita"........he said "here you go".
We toasted each other as our weekend and freindships began

Saturday morning he was the the tour guide and our first destination was heading for the "Tunnel of Trees"......very much like the Dragon Tail.....but no bikes coming at you at high speeds. We headed up into Mackinaw City from here.

Legs Inn Continued
This was the view we were surrounded with while sipping on our Bloody Mary's. The sun was shinning and the temp was around 80. Just perfect weather for viewing the surrounding beautiful MI Landscape.
I love flowers and appreciate their delicate beauty. Most places I go I always try to capture a still photo of one.
Coming tomorrow photo's of Mackinaw City, Charlevoix Festival and misc. photos.
I travel to many other states on vacations forgetting that MI is filled with it's own beauty. Looks like I should start vacationing here a little more.

Great photo shots
Looks like Michigan is a beatiful place. Really looking forward to coming up and seeing some of the area in August. With only 5 SSRs it was probably easier to stay together, too. Thanks for sharing (and explaining) all of the photos.
