Mackinaw City
If you ever visit Michigan this is one place you would want to see. The Mackinaw Bridge is very impressive along with the the surrounding Lake Michigan water.
I think the Can of Duck Soup enjoyed the view as well

Mackinaw City
While in Makinaw City we ate lunch at the Dixie Saloon and did some shopping in the town afterwards. I've been collecting small pins of places I've been on the SSR runs to put on my SSR jacket. Have quite a few these days
My buddies Marty and Steve (hubby) decided to play a joke on me while I was out shopping. These two boys stayed behind as they don't like to shop......instead the cleaned up both of our SSR's.
I was the first to come back after shopping and I noticed that wingriders SSR was no longer parked with us. When I asked where wingrider was both of these boys told me. He got pissed off because we were out shopping and he thought he was going to be the tour guide for the day. He didn't come all this way to go shopping, so he went back to the hotel packed his bags and went home.
Well being the host of these runs......I wasn't too happy hearing this as the last thing I would want was for someone not to have a good time. After a full hour of making be believe this is what happened.......they finally caved in and told me they were just joking. Well Marty and Steve that was just I owe you two

Charlevoix Festival
The Charlevoix Festival was a wonderful experience for those of us who have never seen it. It is a full two week event filled with a carnival, food, shopping, boat themed displays, live bands and just some good old Michigan fun.
At night the boats and yacth's are light up like Christmas and they parade around the Charlevoix lake. Later that night in the middle of the lake on a barge is a very impressive display of fireworks over the lake.
