hey all, been away a LONG LONG time, just read all the pages of post's concerning the number and color and options on the SSR. heres my question:
my vin says that my 2003 SSR is # 66. AND its yellow. yellow was a very rare color in '03. BUT...is there a way to find out of the 65 SSR 's made prior to mine HOW MANY WERE YELLOW? i guess what im asking is, is there a way to find out were mine fall's? is it the 1st yellow one? the 14th? 54th? ect. ..any help here? thanks alot!
My SSR: "Kate" a Haughty Redhead, '06 Redline FPR 6 spd. #23333 Build Date 2/16/06
The total 2003 Production was 3416 of which 799 were Slingshots. After that I am unsure how to determine the pre-#66 Slingshots. You can be sure the first 25 aren't and if #51 is a Slingshot you have to determine the other 39 between #25-#66.

I was so bad here. I made this post when I was of the opinion the Signatures were part of the 24112 VIN sequence. I did not realize the Signatures had their own #000001-25 sequence and Regular Production started at #100001.

Did you get a build sheet or what is the source of your build date? Maybe some of the GM employee types have an answer for that question.
