Sounds good to me. We will try to get up there early Fri. , so if we can be of any help setting up for the festivities, let me know. The poker run sounds fun and I'm sure we can come up with more ideas in the next year.

April 22nd, 2006
The 2006 Kingsburg Car Show will be on April 22, 2006. I have reserved a block of a dozen rooms (with an open invite to add more) at the Swedish Inn in Kingsburg.
We'll be a sponsor of the car Show again next year. Oh yeah, the staff at Country Waffles and Three Crowns express their thanks for our patronidge. And I'm sure that goes for all the downtown businesses that you all shopped at too...

Keith, put Sandi and I on the list for a room. Going to turn the water off when we leave, and save a couple of hours driving time each day.
Also, put us on the list of helping in any way we can.
After hearing what a great time I had there this year, my wife Randi will be joining me on my return trip next year.
Looking forward to seeing you Keith.
Please add us to your list.
Bob G. (SSR71Blackbird)

1) Gather at the Historical park on Friday for BBQ - music and dancing (OK Gerry?)
2) Add a poker run option - buy into the hands so we can get prizes or raise some money for a cause
Great things only come from great people. We all appriciate both of your planning, hard work and persistance in your Kingsburg and other SSR activities which are many, both past, present and future. Please let me know what I can do to help and support you. I'll see if I can get some more T-Shirt handouts for everyone made-up again for next year by my main SSR-Club supporter (www.CrimeSiteCleanup.com)... Any design Ideas or same as last years???
Judy & I will be down Mid-day Friday to help out. Reserve us a room (I'll call them to confirm, Fri.,Sat.,Sun. nights).....
NOTE: Last year we got down there too late before the carwash closed and the guys there took us to their house and washed our badly Bug Splattered black SSR, with great expertise. Maybe you can ask around to see what options late comers will have?? The guys lived around the block behind the carwash at the time and said they would wax too if wanted.....
Julie and I plan to be there again. Had a great time last year meeting and greeting other SSRFanatics, also got to spend time with relatives that still live in and around Kingburg. Even ran into an "old" school mate from KHS class of '59.

WOW - a dozen of us already!!!
This year's event will be a BLAST! I've posted info at Drive OnLine and at the Central Valley Classics websites - and have had vendors calling already!
This will be a real nice early Spring gathering - and judging from the LACK of snow I saw at Kings Canyon last weekend - we may not have near as much snow on the ground this year!!!

Calendar Input
Just had another Car Show Committee meeting this week. The SSR-Club has sponsored a class again this year. "Roadster Row" looks to be in the same spot, but we will have space across the street too. (The Vette club isn't coming.)
I also want to know if any of you have any special information to be placed on the "Generals Calendar" - Birthdays, SSR born on/delivery dates, other car shows - let me know.........

I stopped in at the Swedish Inn - there are still lots of rooms available. I blocked off a dozen rooms - and they will keep increasing the number - when needed. I saw a couple familar names, and look forward to seeing you all!

Looks like Me Lucky and Stitch are in. Need to make reservations. I really hope we can get up there Friday this time.
Keith, you think the show would have room for a hot rod Corvair? How does the entry work for that?
We would like to post some caravan STARTing points and times from all points of the compus locations so we can have fun on the way to having fun... Sound like fun? Let Keith know so they can be posted here and on his Kingsburg, CA SSR-Club website...
I'm coming from Antioch going South to Hyway#99 and pickup other groups on the way. Say Bakersfield and others along the way can be timed to converge on the way down.
