Ready to roll

Looking forward to the Kingsburg Car Show again. Made our reservations at the Swedish Inn.......Made a quick run (420 miles round trip) to Kingsburg last Monday to have lunch with my sisters, brother and other related individuals. Good food at Katie's Kitchen. See you in April. AVnomad

Trophies in the river

I had a couple questions last year about fishing, and this caught my eye from the local paper a few days ago. The spot on the river that is discussed here is about 20-25 miles away...

A new Department of Fish and Game program to attract anglers.

PIEDRA — The California Department of Fish and Game began stocking the lower Kings below Pine Flat Dam with jumbo-sized rainbow trout as part of a new program designed to lure anglers.

"We're trying to see if we can create a really spectacular fishery," said Dale Mitchell, DFG Region 4 aquatics program manager. "There are not very many rivers in the United States where people can go and dependably catch 6-pound fish."

Hope to make the Kingsburg run if BlueStreak is delivered by then. I can always hope! Is there any listing of event activities & times. Especially times for the General's Highway cruise. How late does this end?

Looks like fun

Has there been any interest from Arizona yet?

There may be time to get a group together to caravan over.

My mapping software has it at 585 miles and 8 hrs 30 min.

What is the planned arrival time in Kingsburg?

Mike

come on over Arizona...

Mike, I mentioned this to Rob a few days ago, but haven't heard if they are coming. I think Paul (fourhounds) said something about a NASCAR committment that weekend...are you and Deb coming?

Randi,
I have not presented it to the better half yet. If we did come, it would probably be a Friday (early AM) departure from here to tie in with the So. Cal caravan and an extra nite on the road Sunday in Corona or something before coming home.

I'll see what my honey has to say about it in the next week or so.

Regards,

Mike

Thumbs up Discount

Hey Keith

Think the National Park might give us a discount this time, if not will have to get one of the old guys to buy our tickets at a senior rate.

We really need some diversity training here.

You younger guys need to pay for the experienced supporters...... Right Eric???

Thanks Lloger - good to see that were are nearly double the # of SSR's this year.

FYI: I do have a inquiry in with the Nat. Park Service to see if there is such a thing as GROUP rates - will let you all know.

There was a suggestion last year that we collect the money BEFORE we get to the park - then the lead SSR can pay for the group!

Lunch up the hill is limited - so unless there are other suggestions - we'll be eating at the Wuksachi Village... http://www.visitsequoia.com/html/wuksachi.html

True statement but your other half sure did.
Since my taxes are paying at least some portion of that fixed income I thought you could return the favor.

On another note - Keith, I remeber we had a good time at the steakhouse last year (too bad it was prom night...). Any plans for that this year? Is it prom night again?
