Selma has a Holiday Inn Express (Swan Court) - suppose to be pretty nice for an 'express' - There is a best Western in Selma too - 5 min and miles north of Kingsburg.
Also a Best Western in Dinuba - about 10 min and miles n/e of Kingsburg.
There are some B&B's in the "Sanger" area that are only 20 min or so away.

It really depends on the snow cover up there. Our first year - we were able to drive the entire length of the Generals Highway from Sequoia in the south to Kings Canyon in the north (25+ miles at 6,000 to 7,700 foot elevation) with only wet roads from snow runoff - there was still a bunch of snow on the ground... We had to use "Plan B" the second year and go up into the big trees from the Kings Canyon (Hwy 180) side to see big trees. We did get SNOWED on in year 2...
The loop will take most of the day - if open.
You could get an early start and head up Hwy 180 (KC) OR Hwy 198 (Sequoia) and see big trees and be back to kingsburg in 6 or 8 hours.. Again, depending on snow, the only option may be KC as Hwy 198 into Sequoia is pretty
dicey in the morning due to shadows and curves - Hwy 180 gets daylight earlier and does not get twisty until the 5000 foot elevation.

tub will be staying at the Swan Court again this year. After I got the run around by the Swedish Inn last year for over a month about no availablity of rooms even when I called 5 minutes after one of our Fanatics cancelled, I was still told there was "no room at the Inn". To top it off, reading about the billing issues... no thanks!! We will go where we were treated right.
Besides... I saw the rooms last year at the Swedish Inn...no comparison

Tony!!!
I knew I liked you for some reason... gotta love that humor!!!!
So... you don't want to do the Swan "slip and slide" dance at the party?
We missed the pool party last year.. with any luck Rebecca will feel better this year and we can attend. So are you guys going swimming in the rain, or has Keith already confirmed no rain or snow this year (except for the grapevine like last year ).
