I though that thing came unhinged and rolled off the end of the pier in "1941".



Now - If Magic Mountain wants to sell off the 'Freefall' ride - I'll take that...

we have a ferris wheel on a hillside in east peoria, il. they light it up at Xmas time and it makes one hell of Xmas decoration.

The original P.O.P. (Pacfic Ocean Park) was gone before I was a toddler... The re-incarnation of P.O.P, the amusement park on the Santa Monica Pier happened in the 90s when they were rebuilding the pier from El Ninos storms of the 80s that damaged the pier. The ferris wheel isn't that old... maybe 10-15 years...

You read right, Randi . . . Once I realized that I should have posted this thread on the General Forum, I was, in essence, apologizing for posting it on the Pac Forum.

I'm so used to Cruise Critic, I'd forgotten one can COMPLETELY DELETE OR EDIT a post or thread here ANYTIME. (on Cruise Critic you only have 30 minutes and then can't totally delete the post)
