I think "Rocket Boy" posted something stating the torque numbers on a gear change but I wouldn't know where to find that thread.But yes,a 4.56 gear should be less strain on the trans.I know it was less strain on the engine.

hmm...i have been reading on the manual tranny's, and sounds like GM created equal opportunity failures; telling people to change out the fluid at conflicting mileage ....depending on the "Stealer-ship"

I thought you did install the 1 to 2 Corvette servo. But, since that only affects the 1-2 shift and you lost 3 & 4 (as I recall) it wouldn't be that. Has the dealer said specifically what failed ( the clutch, solinoid or?) ?
Would appreciate knowing specifically what happened. And, better luck with the next one.
