I contacted the Anabella Hotel and if we guarantee booking at least 5 rooms they will give us a rate of $79 for Dec. 3, but we would have to book pretty soon.

You can count on Janet and I to be there.

The Anabella Hotel has a very nice patio dining area that offers live smooth jazz (which is probably why I like it so much). We really enjoyed it for the Octoberfest event. Not sure if the weather will permit outside dining that time of the year, but it is an option. By the way, they serve great mocha expresso martinis. Downtown Disney certainly has a good selection of restaruants to choose from. There are also several choices in the theme parks, but they are pretty spendy.

Good grief.. how did I get wranged into this I've been trying to stay outta trouble! Now it looks like I've been drafted... So.. you think the SM Canyons/Ventura are near Disneyland??? It would be a drive... Will plan it if you are up to it.. Its atleast an hour drive from Anehiem to the canyons.. & then to drive them even more.. end up in Ventura.. plan a 1/2 day or more

Well I can not believe this but we have to pass on Disneyland but can maybe
get with you the next day. We will keep an eye on the post and see what happens.

I told Mr Duck when Bob Seger announced he would be in Vegas on Dec 30 that if the Disney run came about that we would pass. I already booked hotel and am getting tickets for the concert Thurs

But will look forward to the canyon and Ventura run for our 3rd annual Valentine Day Run (affectionately known as the VD RUN )

Day and info to be announced at Laughlan

Have fun and see you all soon.

WE would be interested in staying overnight and going to Disneyland. The hotel at $79.00 is and excellent price but I am going to check to see how much Disneyland is charging these days to get into the place. We like the breakfast, cruise and dinner idea.

Eighty dollars a person to get into the park???? That is $160.00 for the two of us?? Whoops, that is a little stiff. Gotta think about this.

we will be down that way in December just not the SoCal area. We have to be in Vegas on that same weekend for a week to see the rodeo finals. Getting into Nevada on the 3rd and probably head to AZ on the 9th, will spend the weekend there then head west to your area for a few days before heading home.

Thought this might be a great spot to share a half hour video I just recieved. It was shot in 1956 by a family that won a trip to dDisneyland in a contest sponsored by Scotch brand tape.
