Meeting place for Donut Derelicts for those of us who with to arrive and park together - we meet at 5:30 ish (AM) and leave no later than 5:40 AM from a parking lot that is located on Magnolia just south of Talbert. The lot is south of the Baskin Robbins (on the right side of the street as you are headed south.
Come one, come all. Lets turn heads with Turnheadz at the Donut Derelicts Sat Jan 12. Official start time is 6:00 AM at the corner of Magnolia and Adams in Huntington Beach.
For those that wish to arrive as a group and park together we'll meet on Magnolia just south of Talbert. Turn in to the parking lot just past the Baskin Robbins on the West side of Magnolia after you pass Talbert. We need to leave there no later than 5:40 AM to get parking at the DD so plan on being there by about 5:30 AM.
For those that are coming, please pick your choices on the poll so I can get an idea of how to plan for this. One of the first two and one of the second two.
Poll options are
Just show up - which is get there when you can and find the gang.
Show up/park as a group - this means we need to meet each other earlier and drive in together so we can park together.
Also do the Cars and Coffee show (was the Crystal Cove show) in Irvine, 7 am to 9 am - leave DD and drive down to another morning show with the high end cars - Ferrari, Lamo, BMC, MB, Porsche, etc. SSRs are allowed in as well.
Sound like a plan... Think... make a morning out of it... DD & Cars & Coffee... The early part doesn't bother me... but it might be hard to get everyone there early enough to park together....
Lloyd and I will be there, especially since Sandy and Wayne will be staying at our house for this event. We'll go for whatever Wayne and Sandy want to do.
Gerry.........BP

Don't you mean DARK & EARLY?
Where is the meet for those parking together, or did that not happen?
I am going to try and make the whole shootin' match.
Hard to get up that early though.

yeah...I was thinking, cool, get to see Sandy and Wayne then thought, get up at 3 to be out of here at 4 to maybe make it by 6 depending on weather and traffic...I think we may wait until Laughlin...see ya on Thursday the 24th for dinner Sandy

Sandy and Wayne are really nice people, but you'd have to be committed to a straightjacket if you got up at 3 just to go for donuts.
Sounds like a great trip for them - 4 weeks of cruising is pretty hard to beat.

Will try . . .
Pencil me in for now . . . entire early '08 schedule currently is all screwed up . . . was excited to see turnheadz is going to be there . . . and I see fourhounds will be there too . . . well . . . I guess that's okay.
Linda, What time do you normally hit the road for this?
Usually wake up at 4am-ish.. that gives me... 30-40 mins to get ready... 15-20 to drop off the Wee Midden at the PU's (parental units... remember that from SNL!!) ... then 50 mins to get to DD
Dang,I was just thinking....from Camarillo its gotta be about a 90 mile drive.
About a 90 minute drive if it clear without any fog or rain.
If it was summer, I wouldn't mind getting up early. But cold AM weather just doesn't appeal to me.
If I come, I may be the best customer buying all that coffee and donuts.
